Getting a bit hungry... but don't want to leave the car very long... so... having a burger at the drive-thru The girl at the window never saw a Ferrari passing by before
Meeting with another Ferrari in the very small village of Weert... a brand new 575M with Swiss plates... Of course I stopped to take a pic... the owner came out a bit later to have a look at the Spider Joren, I guess this is the same car you saw a few days ago...
The last pic on a little road through the forest... driving very slowly to have an ice cream on a nice quite terrace in the middle of the forest... 4 hours later the car had to be returned... but as I mentioned earlier... we didn't get that far... When driving back to Antwerp I had to stop for a traffic light... when the light turned green, I moved the car in first, no problem, but when I wanted to go to second gear... the clutch refused... no more shifting... No more driving A sad ending to a wonderful 3 days... About 30 minutes later they came to tow the nice Spider away... and left us with a... yellow Lotus Elise... Nice car and fun to drive... but not the same as a Ferrari! We drove that car a bit more and then returned to the rental garage... Over again... and feeling sad for having to leave the car like this but wow... what a fantastic feeling to have driven it again! Can't wait to see, hear, smell ride in... or even better... drive a Ferrari again! But I'm affraid I will have to be patient again... Who knows? The next Ferrari I'll drive could become mine! I hope you enjoyed the story and pics a bit and appologize for rushing through the thread so fast now, keeping the story short... I don't have a lot of time now and got a few things to handle so... Greets and CU later, Alexander
No, it isn't. The one I saw in Brussels and Knokke had the '575M' badge on it and the license plate started with VS I believe. Good story with great pics Allesandro! Thanks for sharing all this!
Hey Alex!! First of all, sorry to hear about your accident!! But fortunately nobody was hurt!! That's the most important thing right now!! It's never good to have an accident but stay positive!! And second...... great write up and nice pictures!!! (yeah i could sent you the pics i made on saturday night but they really are too dark!!) Didn't have time for burning the clips on cd either!! But ofcourse you will be the first to have them!! We really should meet again soon, if i find the time!!! :-S BTW are you going to watch the next GP in Maasmechelen?? Maybe i can make it this time!! GRTZ to Kelly and stay cool!! Hope everything works out for you very soon! You really deserve it! CIAO... Guy
Thanks for the nice comments again... Really cheers me up! It was my pleasure to share the car, the pics and the experience... This thread is a wonderful reminder to some really nice days... Hopefully there will be a lot more of them in the future... I will surely watch this thread from time to time again. Joren, so it's not the same car? Now we know there are two Swiss gents with a silver 575M cruising trough Belgium... Guy, you're right. We really should meet again some day soon! Unfortanetely I can't make it to Maasmechelen next week to watch the Hungary Grand Prix there because I have to work that day But I'll certainly watch the Belgian GP in the clubhouse! Don't want to miss that! Of course we can also meet up on another occassion... but I've got some very busy weeks coming up. I'm sure we can work something out. Don't worry about the clips... I'm patient and it will be nice to hear them to relive the sensation when there is some time passed... It doesn't matter that much that the image is dark if the sound is ok! BTW feel free to sent the clip(s) directly to Tina for her website when you've got the time... so everyone can enjoy the sound of the V8... No rush, take you're time! And yes... hopefully everything will be ok soon... Greets, Alexander

Agreed!! You clearly enjoyed it....I can actually hear the "YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA's" in the tunnels! Cheers, MARK
Wolfgang, Tina, Waldo, Mark,... I'm really happy you liked the story and pics too! My pleasure to share it with you!
And not only in the tunnels! Actually, I "YEEEEEEEEEEEEE-HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD" almost the whole time then lol Wow, it was soooooo great, but went by soooooo quick too!
I really enjoyed your write-up of a couple of days with the F355! It makes me long for such an experience even more... I loved the anecdotes as well, like the one with the Espace. It brought a smile to my face. Enjoy reliving those days over and over again and lots of thanks for taking the trouble of writing it down and sharing the great stories and pictures with us! P.S.: Did anyone else notice how in the last picture of post #30 the people in the background seem to be more interested in the river than in the wonderful car behind them? It still baffles me how some people just can't appreciate pure art...
Thanks for your comment Roland. I'm glad you liked it too. Yes, it's amazing some people just don't understand the beauty of a Ferrari...
Hehe... Just another quick pic... "Pinok", the lucky cat on the Ferrari... @Paul, looks a bit like your cat, isn't it?
Hi Alexander, love the pic - its soooooooooo cute with the cat. Here is another cat-pic with my old 308
