Albaco has a lot of Ferrari collectables and Alex has always been a pleasure to deal with.

I have been curious about the Ferrari 50 years video set as well. I noticed on Exoticar.com they list the running time for the Ferrari 50 years as 248 min. and they also list the running time for the 50 years of Ferrari DVD as 248 min.
I saw somewhere else where the DVD was much shorter. Does anyone know if they are the same ore what the actual running time for the DVD is.

"Ferrari 50 years 4 video set" was once broadcasted by (I believe) Discovery Channel, so I recorded them at that time. They give a nice overview of the different Ferrari models (roadcars, sports racers, F1, etc), but nothing else much. Nice to see it once or twice but there was not a lot of action (for example engine sounds, cars that are running) to see.

I have the DVD "Enzo, the man the legend" which deals with Enzo´s life and the legend he created. A number of cars are also shown but that is not the main issue of this DVD. Many famous Ferrari related people tell about Mr. Ferrari and his cars. Very interesting if you want to know more about Enzo himself. Running time is about 75 minutes.

I did not see the other movies you mentioned, so I can´t comment on them.

But eh... would it not be a waste of money to buy a VHS tape? Almost everything is also available on DVD...

the vhs seem to be cheaper, so I usually buy on vhs first then if its a keeper I buy on dvd to keep.

PS I bought "Ferrari" Automotive series on DVD and is one of the worst videos I hav ever seen, It's free to anyone who will pay me a couple bucks shipping.

"ferrari 50 years" sucks dont get it... like 250gto said it shows the models but no good sounds or driving action. and on the dvd it has the cars and when you click on one to see it the dvd spins like crazy then drops you into the middle of a "chapter" with a picture of the car or the guy saying " the F40 was fast, so was the Ferrari F1" and thats it... the only reason i would get it is to see what the ferraris look like or models you have never herd of or seen... however there is a neat conversation with some guy from Lancia? talking about the Dino program which was alright but not worth it...

Some were very well produced (usually for sales promos) and others are just plain awful.

I thought about buying the 50 years set. Glad I didn't waste the money. Thanks for the feed back.

Which brings us to this question:

Does anyone know of a website that has reviews of all the different Ferrari videos/DVDs out there? Even better can somebody start a Faqs on the subject on Ferrarichat?

I actually have all 4 VCD (not DVDs) of the Ferrari 50 years. Each of the disc discusses separate topics:

    1. The Gran Prix cars (F1 cars, my favorite disc)
    2. The GT cars (Daytona)
    3. The sports cars (Dino, 328 etc)
    4. The sports racers (LM, 333sp etc)

The historical aspect is pretty good and there's good footage of historic races as well as privateer races.
