here in oz our footballers (burly guys dressed in colourful clothes frolicking in a meadow trying to cuddle one another) sing songs not just telling themselves how good they are, but telling everyone else what people think of them. things like "we're the pride of ya-dah and respected by our foes", and it just makes me cringe.
