I'm sure someone here can make heads or tails of this. http://www.pirelli.com/en_42/tyres/catalog/tyre_product.jhtml?selected=size&catid=WW_UHP&productid=2175 I've got the 285/40 ZR18 stuff, but what does the 99 and 101 mean? How about 'nolbl?' I'm looking for new shoes for my M-paralell equiped bimmer. I want the red "Rosso" side lettering if I can get it <ah, vanity> 255/45 ZR18TL 99Y(nolbl) 285/40 ZR18TL 101Y(nolbl)
Don't know what the "(nolbl)" part signifies, but the 2-3 digit number with the letter at the end seems to be the load rating index and the speed rating index per this TireRack link: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/general/speed.jsp (interesting how the "Y" and "W" speed ratings are actually above "Z")
Ben, I am not sure what nolbl means (maybe: no lable) but the 99 & 101 or other numbers refer to the loading of the tires and the Y refers to the Y rated which is good for 186MPH. Here's a link with more info: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/general/speed.jsp The Rossos don't have all the sizes unless you wanna compromise with the next size over or under (I don't recommend it). Matt
nolbl = "No label" the 99 or 101 refers to the load index, 775kg and 825 kg rspectively. Regards, Carl.
