    pretty interesting page:

    How the Enzo Ferrari Works
Every few years, the two facets of Ferrari combine, taking the
high-tech, high-performance designs of Formula One (F1) and
putting them into the ultimate street car. The latest Ferrari
supercar is the Enzo Ferrari, named after the company's late
founder. Learn how the Enzo was designed to emulate a Formula
One car, what powers it, how fast it goes, and why it's so
    difficult to get one.

Check out How the Enzo Ferrari Works:

okay.............i disagree with the web site howstuffworks!!!!!!
now before you tell me to sit down and shut up, iam not talking about the Enzo.....I am talking about the way they discribe the translation of Scuderia.........i think the word "Scuderia" means Stable, now i know they say it comes from the word "Scudo" meaning shield......but i was told many years ago when i spent my summers in Italy that Scuderia Ferrari roughly translates to...................."From the stable of".....Ferrari.

    Anybody shead some light?

I also just checked in the Collins Gem Italian/english dictionary and it also states.............."Scuderia" as Stable

I was under the impression that it meant stable of as well. It's prescense in the Ferrari name I believe came from Enzo's racing days. His "stable" were the cars he entered to race.

Er, definately NOT. The official name of the Ferrari F1 team is:

Scuderia Ferrari ... something and the name Scuderia is often used for race teams, thus absolutely nothing to do with Street Legal.

I think you are thinking of Stradale.

I thought Scuderia was team... Oh well.

How can the ME412 have a full interior with everything (full size too) and a turbocharged and intercooled V12 and weigh less than 3000 pounds? How can it weigh that much less than the Enzo?

This website gets better and more detailed everytime I go there. I really like and respect this site (although I know its not always perfect.) I remember when the "engine" page had only 5 levels.

Nice article, when I have some more time i will checkout some of the other cars on the list. I too am under the impression that SCUDERIA roughly translates to stable, as in a stable or team of racing cars.

i called a friend of mine in Italy today he just said thats ABOUT right "stable" but there really is no direct translation.
Anyway for me it will always be........Scuderia Ferrari.

Or shall we say.........."From the stable of Ferrari"

    sounds much better than............."Shield Ferrari"!!!
