348 Spoiler Wraparound colours

    Can someone advise me why some 348 tb and ts come with black coloured front and rear spoiler as well as the lower part of the side strakes and others come as body colour wraparound. Why the difference in colours? Thanks in anticipation of advice.

    all the 348 tb and ts have all around lower body painted in black...
    the 348 gtb, gts and spider have it in body colour...(and engine hood too)

    if you see a tb or ts with coloured spoiler, it's repainted...like mine

    Thanks for the info Bob. Was it much trouble painting and matching your undercarriage wraparound. How about some more pics of your gorgeous 348 with the headlights closed.

    vegas, i bought my 348tb with the undercarriage painted
    ... so, it wasn t a trouble ;-)

    I have it too, on my -92 348 ts.
    It was done at a the dealers workshop before taking delivery.
    I even had the targa roof painted bodycolour with glasurit paint.
    Really improves the looks of the car!
    In my opinion anyway.

    I had my lower panels painted to match the car. $700 out the door. I debated a long time whether to do it, but now that I did it, I like it. Car looks 10 years newer with the updated scheme.

    This is not entirely correct, at least not here in the USA. The TB and TS had the black lower panels and foreward engine cover until the Serie Special cam eout in Late '92, at which time they were painted body color. All 348s after that had that paint scheme.
