Don't know. At Laguna Seca, Speed channel filmed our little Ferrari Girl doing her Princess wave to the F1 cars, real cute. Might see it on Speed sometime in the future.

Pictures 3 & 4, Thanks John, You give me inspiration.

The first looks like a Model T based racer but the second has me baffled. Do you remember what these cars are based on?

Like owners and pets that look alike, the driver and his car in picture 4 look to be made for each other.

    Spasso,

Here is the Spec Sheet. We were on the hill at turn 10; these cars were doing an estimated 80 MPH, the wooden wheels were really wobbling as they scooted around the corner. Kind of scary being the only thing between you and the road is a pair of old greasy coveralls, funnier than **** really.

I love that vintage stuff. The greasy coveralls, leather flight helmet, barnstromers goggles, thrashed polo boots.

    Sorry I missed it.

With luck maybe the forthcoming improvements at Pacific Raceways will stimulate the draw in coming years. I have seen an impressive showing of vintage motorcycles there a few years ago so the cars can't be too far behind.

    Dave,
Spa sent a group of tec’s over maybe 8 or 9 guys. They were warming the cars up for show laps. I was standing in the garage for the ordeal, those cars are deafening at 6,000 RPM. Have 20 min of DV footage, maybe print a DVD and see if we can view it at the Christmas bash.

    Nice pictures John!

What a fun time. We just flew back home tonight. I took lots of pics and will try to post some tomorrow.

Here's a shot of some "old guy from Texas" who claimed he knew a thing or two about racing cars and wanted his picture taken with me.

    ;)

Here's some more shots from IC, Laguna Seca, PB and FCA Nationals.

The last one is the hotel swimming pool where we stayed. Pretty nice, huh....

That pool looks suspiciously like the one at Hearst Castle. When did you find the time?

You're the winner DJ, yes it's the Hearst Castle!

Sue and I took a break from the car events on Monday and drove down Hwy 1, past Big Sur to the castle. Amazing ocean views and roads... wish I would have been driving a Ferrari, instead of the rental car.

    Here's a couple more shots.
