Well, she had to look him up to test the car see, then after she had tested the car for performance, it naturally followed........

Somebody post the registry please, I'm good for a flower vase or some Tiffany candlesticks....we had three of those, for some reason.......

    OH Heck!

So this is breaking news then?? Thanks Lawwdog!

    Salute to both of them!
It started with her road test or were they friends before???

I've been thinking myself, that diamonds would blend well with the magic of New Orleans and Ferraris and the French Quarter............

    SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! ;)

    She'll never see it here!

Can anyone identify the car in my fifth photo? I think it's a deTomaso of some sort.

The car in the 10th photo is the short-lived ATS of 1963. Remember them? Made up of people who walked out of Ferrari, and they built a wretched F1 car that effectively ended Phil Hill's career in the series.

As I expected, the photo of the orange Enzo came out far too red, so I doctored it a bit. For those of you who were there--did I come close?

Yea, it's a "Iso Rivolta." Not sure of the year though.

It's an Iso Grifo Le Mans. The art deco hood treatment was on the Le Mans version only to make room for the Chevy 427

She's engaged to my pal Mike, who is a hell of a nice guy, and a fast driver, too! Nika says they want to get married on the start/finish line at Monza. Where else?

Michael gave me a ride in the Enzo last night from the paddock to the entrance to the track.

Congrats to Michael and Nika! I hope to make the wedding in Italy!

It was a great 3-days at Laguna. I was fortunate enough to get the call to instruct. Beliveme, there are worse gigs. I met a lot of really nice people, and drove dozens of cool Ferraris......on the most beautiful track on Earth. Good job done by all! I especially enjoyed the F40, wringing the snot out of the Challenge Stradales, and seeing my two students (Joel and Alex) finish in the top 5 in the Challenge race.

Now, just don't tell anybody that I was back out there today instructing with the Porsche club.....

I' m back in Dallas now. Had a great time. Thanks to everyone I met. Please don't expect me to remember everyone right away next time around. This year meeting 100+ users beats Dallas in 2001 when maybe 2 came up that were users. :) Umm, what will Monterey 2014 be like? The users of FC are truely special, I'm just happy to be part of the community.

The FChat dinner was great and it was nice to finally meet a lot of folks on here!! Thanks for the FChat T-shirt Rob.

A highlight for me was talking to James G. about his 330 P4, fantastic! Seems like I (and Sue) kept running into him and his family everywhere we went.

For grins, here's the best vanity plate that I saw over the entire weekend of car events.

    :)

First of all, thanks to the guys who identified the Iso Grifo for me.

I also just posted some photos of some of the motorcycles that were at the Concorso (and a boat!) on the Cars & Motorcycles forum.

Or maybe that should be Jelly Bean Gallardos? Isn't this a tasty-looking lineup!

Only the red one is a Gallardo; the three behind it are Murcielagos and beyond that, blue and silver Diablos...

Thanks, Carbon. I knew the black one was a Diablo but I was referring to the first four.

The fact is, my complaint about the Lamborghinis is that they look too much alike, especially the front ends. I'll bet some Murci owners are pissed at how much the "lesser" Lambo looks like theirs. I don't think anyone would ever confuse the 575 and 360 for each other.
