I do like your color better on the speedster. This green is a little wild for me, but its not bad just not what I would pick if I had a choice. Although the car comes with a tiptronic tranny. Not really what I want!!

No other Speedster's were made in that colour, the Amazon Green was a one -off .Most were Maritime Blue, Speed Yellow or Guards Red.Manual is DEFO the way to go as TIP Tronic was an awful option and quite basic in execution.

WHOA! Not in that colour, tho :p
As for ownership,as the long as the car is properly maintained it should be pretty painless as the cars are generally bullet -proof. The air -cooled cars IMO are much more charismatic than the current water-cooled model. They are refined-964 on- , powerful and very well built and offer great value for money.Perhaps a bit underpowered compared to some modern cars, but 250 BHP is still plenty in the hands of a decent driver.
As with all these things , MAKE sure a PPI is carried out before committing yourself . Good Luck . :)

i have an 87 930 turbo w/ 27k miles that i have heavily modified. while it is totally stock appearing (my goal was to keep it pure as i really think the cars look so great as delivered from the factory) i only deviated by having it properly lowered. the suspension was changed out in favor of full kokelin bits and when finished, it was also corner weighted.

the motor has also been done. andial mods w/ k-29 turbo, b&b full system, kokelin intercooler, 962 cams, tial 962 wastegate, fuel enrichment, air box conversion, cockpit adj. boost. makes about 430-460 hp dependent on boost setting.

it is totally reliable and it simply does not care what it meets on the road...it really does embarass most cars and motorcycles in the straight line.

while i have have several ferraris that i love beyond any others, i must say that the 930 is the is most challenging and fun to drive.

hope this helps point you in the direction of buying...930's are very hard to fault.

My daily driver that shares the garage with the 355 is a 1999 Carrera, Ocean Blue with Aero Kit (shown here). It is a great car with lots of power, great handling, etc. I highly recommend you try a 996...I never liked the styling until I drove one and realized what the Carrera had evolved into...I previously had a 1985 Turbo-look cabriolet (shown here) that I owned for 4 years (and put 35K miles on it) and sold it for the same amount I bought it for. If you buy them right, they don't lose a lot of value.

Here's my reliable backup for when the 360 decides to throw a tantrum. '83 911 SC widebody with 65k original miles. She has all kinds of upgrades...a/c, permatune ignition, s/s headers, satellite radio and interior work. Lots of fun to drive, inexpensive to maintain (even with all that optional work), and did I already mention? RELIABLE. :) The only problem I've had is the low valance vs. horrible roads in Dallas. I installed the skid plates from Pelican and it's MUCH better.

    Happy driving!
