The side marker light on the R/H front fender of my 308 is burned out. Not sure if the lense pops off or I have to remove the outflow vent on the top of the fender to access the back of the socket. It doesn't appear to be the typical twist lock socket from the back either.

    Tips and tricks?

    Thanks, DJ

So it does twist off from the back without pulling the vent?

My forearm is too big to fit in the hole. I'll have to pull the outflow vent

Another thing you can try is removing the small plate in front of the front wheel...the same 'door' that provides access to the blower motors.

I believe you can get to the bulb from there as well. You have to be very careful when removing and re-inserting the screws back into the outflow vent. Drop a screw and you'll be removing the wheel well doors anyway...

Yup, I have had the vents out before and did drop screws. Fished them out with an extension magnet luckily.
    Thanks guys, DJ

Excellent...I was wondering if you had changed the bulb without spilling a screw.

I pulled the outflow vent out of the top of the fender to access the light. After placing the screwdriver on each screw I held the end of the magnet against the shank of the screwdriver making it magnetic. Worked great, no dropped screws.
