I just finished reading this quarter's FCA magazine, and I'm left with one nagging thought....

Everywhere I read "Ferraris are meant to be driven" or "concourse doesn't detract for stone chips or road dirt" etc. etc. If the FCA advocates driving, Fchatters drive like maniacs, and the factory advocates lots of miles, why do so many owners worry about miles?!?! (I really don't care about miles myself... it's not an investment, it's a little slice of heaven)

When or how did "low miles" become a valuable commodity in Ferrari-land?

Not everyone who buys a Ferrari is an F-chatter, or even a real enthusiast. Even among enthusiasts (even among F-Chatter's) there are those who do not understand that the more often a Ferrari is driven, the better it runs (up to a point)

I just wonder why when the envelope says "Do Not Bend" the postman folds it BOTH ways to jam it into my apartment mailbox......

    Sorry the question was......mileage?

I think it relates to the same concept as women actually, you know you're not the first, but you hate to feel the whole Football Team was ahead of you..........HTH

As long as there's no OBVIOUS deterioration, you know? Or movies......

Well, perhaps this is their way of making sure concourse judges do not deduct points for chips, etc?

They mean recent road chips and dirt....only since the last megabuck over restoration.......try it with actual rust bubbles or a missing hose clamp and see how far you go......

Having a Ferrari and not driving it is like being married to Katheryn Zeta Jones
and not........well you know what I mean. Life is very short, tomorrow is guaranteed to no one. Enjoy and drive them, I'm sure if and when you sell there is always someone who'll buy close to what you want.
