it is my favorite Ferrari of all time. mid 12 star mags, dino air scoops, 365 nose. Pininfarina used it as a test bed for many different styling cues to come!!!

From talking to people that run there a lot, turn 9 may be the toughest corner on the track. Partly because you can't really see the apex until you've begun turn-in if you're doing it right. A lot of people turn in too soon, which causes them to have to slow down to make the corner. Rob, see the video link I posted earlier to see the expensive result of apexing too early.

These were impressive. Some of the drivers let me look inside. Showers, queen-sized beds, TV, computers, PS2, everything. 1800 miles between fuel stops. And, million$ in cargo.

All of the drivers were very proud of these rigs and loved showing them off.

But this time I need some answers:
#1 - These both look like 250 GTs of similar vintage, but they are clearly not identical. Can someone fill me in?
#5 - The 330P4 is still, to me, the most beautiful sports/prototype racer ever conceived. But does its owner really drive it on the road?

    About the rest:
#2 - A Bentley from around the time they were winning LeMans in the early '30s.
#3 - The Mazda 787 that is still the only Japanese car to win the overall at LeMans.
#7 - The only Porsche to win a G.P., driven by one Daniel S. Gurney.
#8 - A Peugeot that won the Indy 500 in the teens.
#9 - Phil Hill, of course, whose new book "Ferrari, A Champion's View" is a must-have.
#10 - Sir Stirling Moss and Dan Gurney. I'm amazed these pics came out as good as they did!

I believe the one with the more vertical windscreen is a 250 GT Cabrio LWB, while the other is the 'classic' 250 GT SWB California Spider.

The red/tan cabrio on the left is not a PF LWB but a standard 250 GT Cabrio PF S2 with converted covered headlights.
The red/black on the right is a 250 GT California spyder SWB

Many thanks to everybody for these WONDERFUL pictures !!!!

    Correct sir!

And if you know what I look like, you can spot my wife and I in the background.

Ralph is a super nice guy - We were really happy for him - He has owned the car for 19 years & just finished restoring it.

The car appeared in Road and Track (when it was yellow) as the first Countach in the US.

    Congrats again Ralph! :)

Yes, there is an end to this, but it's a ways off yet.

Some interesting cars here, including a rare Porsche 959.

    Jerry & Melissa,

Thanks again and it was nice that you were both there. It's always more fun to share great experiences with friends. I saw the picture of you both behind the car when I was going up the ramp for the award. I regret not asking you to ride along in the passenger seat as it was empty.
The few pictures we have are what Heidi was able to take. She did not want to ride in the car for the award for that reason. The award itself was a surprise. I was happy they finally let me unload it someplace other than the mud field which they sent me to originally.

I emailed a couple people who had posted pictures of my car asking if they wouldn't mind emailing them to me, but I have not heard back from anyone. We had so much trouble getting into the show with the car, we ended up being short on time for things like that. So, if any of you have pictures you wouldn't mind sharing, they would be appreciated.

Jerry, I have something for you also the next time I see you.

    Best wishes to all,
    Ralph

This is going to seem brash in the wake of the classics, but what is the story on the all blacked out 360's TRASHER1 & TRASHER2 ?

All black on black 360's that had Ferrari badges removed and replaced with ceramic reproductions of a cross bones and skull. Some called it sacralidge, I say... Interesting. Any notes on these cars?
