    Does anybody know about spark plugs. My Mondial is fitted with N6GY Champion Sparkers, the book of words says these are now discontinued. I understand the replacement is N6YCC. I came by a set of N6YC Racing Specification plugs, does anybody know the difference between "ordinary" and racing Spec. plugs. For what it's worth, they don't look any different to any other type.
    I am having difficulty finding the N6YCC plugs, so is there an alternative ? NGK, Bosch. etc.

    throw those champions in the trash where they belong, all but one bad plug (out of the box) i have ever purchased was a champion, try NGK or bosch, i have NGK bpr5egp 7082 in my 308 seem good tho i think i read abt. a new higher perf. NGK somewhere, maybe a tuner rag.

    NGK BP7 EVX will do just fine.

    There was an article in Forza about spark plugs, it was a while ago (maybe a year or so?). I think if you do a search, there was some info posted about it (maybe in the old ferrarichat archives?).

    Their recommendation was NGK. Didn't have too many good things to say about Champions.

    I've posted this before somwhere, but due to an "incident" at the glider club I was a member of, the Tug plane no longer uses champions.....

    I'm sure there are many happy users though, and good luck to 'em.

    Addendum: Just a note regarding your question about "racing plugs" there are several variants of Champion racing spec plugs. For instance, I use N60Y Champion plugs in the Dino (Fiat) 2000 (206) and the plugs are no longer available, however, the replacement gives a description of one variant of the racing series.

    Just a bit more info, the problem, a serious misfire started ofter being stuck in a traffic jam at LeMans for 1.5 hrs + in 34 degrees, car did not over heat and behaved very well, it was only when I came to leave that it started to misfire big time. I checked the plugs and the gaps were massive, I reset and things improved loads, but there is still a hint of a misfire.
    I checked the gaps before going on the journey and they were fine and they had covered about 5k miles.

    Anyway new plugs going in, ngk's as my local dealer has them.
