"The front bumper air intakes do not work for me. The rear is way too busy, but very modern. The steering wheel...just plain crazy with the knobamd button...don't like it."

"overall, I think the car is too aggressive. Ferrari doesn't need to design a car with so much flare and "look at me" factor. IMO 360's line is purer and simpler, thus staying with the tradition better. But again, I think Ferrari chooses this route to make sure that this car will beat the Gallardo in all area.

Park the Gallardo and the 430 side by side....I will have a very hard time choosing.
The steering wheel is the offspring of F1, how could that be crazy?

Too aggressive? For Ferrari, THE racing marquee? Never, so long as the symmetry and fluidity are maintained, which Pinifarina does with aplomb.

The 360 is gorgeous, but as I said on another post here, the 430 is the 360-- FULL GROWN.

As for the Gallardo, it exceeds the mark-- too many edges, too many right angles-- which is what Lamborghini has done since the Countach to distinguish itself from Ferrari.

As artistes, Ferrari always strikes the bull's eye.

    Bravissimo-- Ferrari, Pininfarina. Bravo.

    Forza,

While reading the entire thread, and all the other 430 threads, I have to say I am 1. excited by the technology and the anticipation of a superb handling car
    2. mostly impressed by the design.
And when I really think about it with a critical minded nature, there are things I do not like about every model. But when it comes down to the whole package: design, sound, performance, panache, I think this car, like so many, will be a great car to own, to look at and especially to drive. There are very few cars, like people, that do not have some flaws or oddities in their design, and while the 430 has some areas that are not as appealing as others, I sure would like to be on the list waiting my opportunity to turn the key.

Yes you're right, first time I see that pic, great for the Barchetta friends!!!

However i think I might have an idea of the reason... that pic is probably considered not to do the 430 justice. Particularly because you can appreciate better than in other pics how the 430 is basically a 360 with some add-ons. The picture from the lower-back is awesome, though... but did anyone else notice that the car seems a bit suspension-lowered in that particular picture? No doubt it makes it look more aggresive.

Overall I think I'll like it, but find most of the new aesthetical solutions not coherent enough.

I also remember thinking of the 355 aesthetics as an unnnecesarily blown-up 348... now I like them both so much!
