I meant to take these pictures when I first installed the Tubi but since my 3 year old son was helping, I forgot to take pics. Thanks to the miracle of warranty replacement, I have been given a second chance to describe the procedure along with pictures... (All pictures are post removal of the first Tubi.)

FWIW, my first Tubi appeared to develop cracks along the internal baffle welds. Franc Yarde at Tubi happily replaced the exhaust with no problems - I can't say how happy I was with their service. 616.396.1979 - [email protected]

First I raised the car and set it on jacks. Frame attachment points are fairly easy to see from the rear and my racing jack was able to raise the car sufficiently to place both jacks.

I then removed the rear exhaust cover. 9 screws total, careful not to lose any loose friction connectors. When I originally didi this, I had to replace a couple of these that were broken.

The exhaust is held in place by 4 bracket bolts (13mm in my case) and 4 exhaust collar fittings (also 13 mm). I found it easiest to remove 2 of the bracket bolts and loosened the others to finger tight before tackling the collar fittings. A deep socket ratchet and box wrench worked fine here.

I then loosened the collar fittings from the CATs. One side easily came off with the rachet/open end box combo, the other required two wrenches.

I then placed the Tubi on a towel and arranged the bracket bolts so that I could hold the exhuast in place while putting one of the bracket bolts in place - finger tight only. Once one bolt is in place on each side, you can steady the exhaust and place the second bolt in place. (it might be easier to leave this for later but it worked fine for me.)

Then I worked the collar to the end of the exhaust, sliding the collar bracket bolts through the fitting and placing a nut on the end of one side. With the spring tension, you may have to tighten one to place the second nut in place.

I worked both collar bolts in place applying a few turns to each so the fitting would be flush.

Then I simply went back and tightened the bracket bolts and replaced the exhaust cover.

Total time was about 60 mins...the hardest part was lining up the collar bolts but with a bit of patience, not really an issue. I did not use any thread lock as the stock nuts on the collar are locking type and the bracket has locking washers.

    Enjoy,
    JMG

    Thanx!

This could be helpful for me in the next season. I am planning a replacement, yet not sure whether it will be Tubi or another product.
