BMWs by tradition were not always an expensive auto. The 1 series harkens back to the great old 2002's. I just hope they are

    1. RWD

    and

    2. Available in coupe/sedan

I imagine the ///M1 based on it will be a lively car.

I hope they bring the coupe too. It looks the best IMO. This 5 Door hatchback is going to have a lot of competition. I think the new Mazda 3 looks a lot better than the 1 series pictured above. I also think the new Audi A3 looks a lot better than the BMW too. If they bring an M-Version of the new 1 series to U.S. that would definitely be worth checking out.

I have a 1972 2002 - and it is a great old car that can be driven around everyday (not that I do it).

The 1 series will be RWD. I think that the coupe will be called the 2 series. I have no idea if they will also make a sedan (I doubt it) - but a convertible is planned as well.
