It still has the original wheels and tires. The "driving set" should arrive this week, and hopefully it can go on a nice long run on the weekend

    Thats awesome! Congrats!
I love those pics where it's first being unloaded! You get a sense of what the feeling must of been for you as it rolled down the ramp. Once again, congrats on the car! :)

Thanks. It took about 20 mins to ease it off the trailer, but I'm sure that it was flung around Maranello pretty hard when it was first test driven. I also videotaped (videochipped? - new technology!) the whole process. It was thrilling doing it live, but now I'm driving the family nuts watching it over and over!

I got my F40 yesterday also. Just drove it around Miami mostly, barely ever got out of 2nd gear & tried not too boost, Too much traffic. Then the alternator died. So after the Hurricane I'll take her out for a good thrashing.

    Congatulations :)

OH MY GOD.. What a beauty. Which cars did you have to get rid off to purchase such a rare and expensive car? Or did you just have the money? :)

I envy you to my heart. What a stunning car...

Where's that video? I wan't to see it? Can't you post it ? Or else, send it to me and I will host it. :)

I think someone mentioned this before, but there is something about the backing-out-of-the-trailer shots that is just so great. It's like unsheathing a fine sword for the first time.

    The car looks fabulous!!

Original tires on a 10+ year old ultra high performance car? Yikes!

Will, are you worried at all about Frances? My parents live in Boca Raton and they are a little concerned. What's the general feeling?

Alex, very very nice. Now there is a car made for Oak Creek Canyon (after the tourists have cleared out of course) Hope you enjoy it for many years, John.
