With the amount of money he spent on that car.....Wouldn't you just find a GT-1????

close but no.....um...you can get a couple of nice ferraris though witht hat dough..

    my guess is

    $90,000 for the car...
    $35,000 for the bodywork...
    $30,000 for the engine work...
    $15,000 for the sound system...
    $5,000 for the accessories....

The car was originally a GT3.
The engine work cost a hell of alot more than that. Its a fully engineered Twin Turbo, that's been tested and tested.
The body is all custom carbon fibre. Full wind tunnel tested and everything.
The interior has the full AV system in it, and im not too sure about how much that set him back.
This car cost ALOT to build.
And from what i have heard, the owner, a asian dentist, could have no problem buying a GT-1 given the opportunity.

Yeah, his boat is loaded though.
I was reading in a magazine that he was aiming for a GT-1 look in that car that he made. He acheived...sort of, and so i thought, why not buy a GT-1??? I mean, how often are you going to see them on the road? Theres only about 15 made i think.

GOT THAT RIGHT...lol....now isnt that GT1 a more of a head turner than this porsche that he has?..i mean..the gt1 has a long body (which i like)...its more racing influenced like the le mans....

but...to his liking...after a while of looking at it...its a pretty good lookin car

Look at all that electronic stuff. He almost needs a second battery just for all that crap. His dash has like 3 speakers on it for christ sakes.

An Xbox is wired up to it. I think he had a custom program made for his LCD panel display that logs and monitors all the car's systems. This guy did not cut corners in any way.

Cool concept and interior, but piss poor execution. Aesthetically, the sharp edges go against the smooth lines of the 996 ultimately giving this proportional abomination the appearance of a matchbox car.

Perhaps the performance makes up for it, but I don't even a jet fighter could get away from a design crisis like this fast enough.

It looks to me like a standard transmission, not an F1, you can see the shift pattern on the shifter in the console. I also am not a big fan of the look of it from the outside, I agree that it is too angular...it kinda looks like a modded Celica IMO. The job is nicely done, just a little too much bling or rice or whatever for my liking.. I don't need a home theatre on wheels, I am there to enjoy the car, not a DVD. Just preference I guess. Still, the work looks top notch, just not my cup of tea.

I personally think its pretty ugly. The only reason i can see for doing something like that would be because its unique but when there are only 15 real GT1s out there its still pretty unique and has a lot more of the wow-factor (for me at least). Just my 2 cents.
