308 '76-'80 Interiors – Colour combos ??

Here's mine

 

Red/tan is a classic combination...restore it in the original colors.

 

Mine is plain old black, boring. Stick with the Black/Tan interior, more character

hello bab13......ginas' interior was renewed, from the red leather below, to the crema as shown above......the carpets were also replaced in the original red, and included overmats.....total cost was less than 2,300 GBP......the work was carried out by David at A&S Pickering in Bradford UK (Top Blokes)......their work is first class.

My interior is close to that but with black carpet. I kind of wonder though if my carpets weren't originally red. I've found a few remanants of red carpet stuck way up under the dash. I'm not usually a big fan of red interiors but I like yours with the creme/black leather to break it up!

bab13 - the exterior colour was originally white, and was repainted red in 1984.....I am sure the original combination of white / red would look superb, but I am not a fan of the red / red combo.
The isle of man is in the middle of the irish sea, between liverpool in the uk and belfast in northern ireland.

Jdubbya - the cream seats with the black stripe are as per factory spec.....black carpets were (i think) more common than the red with the cream leather interior.
I too am not happy with replacement items, but the red leather was well past its' useful life.

Yes it does exist, my car was ordered in that color combination. I have also seen several others for sale but they weren’t original. The red interior isn’t that dark, its more of a blood red but Ferrari calls it bordeaux.

 

Keith Blumell's "Original Ferrari V-8" book covers all the available color combos from the factory for the 308 series of cars.

 

I have a blue 1977 with blue carpet and the creme/black seats and doors.

I have thought about restoring to solid black interior leather becuase of easy maintenence, but will keep the blue carpet either way.

There is something to be said for restoring to original colors, but the original owners got to pick their colors, so why not pick your current favorites, if from the originally offered combos....?????

 

And of course, brown on brown, aka Marrone exterior on Testa di Moro interior... (Or something like that...)
