That's exactly what it was, he got the runaround when attempting to buy a Ferrari and has held a grudge since then. I like Leno but c'mon, enough with the Fcar bashing. He owns A Miura for heavens sake, and he does'nt like Ferraris? I'm not particularly a Porsche fan but I admit they're great cars and would love one too. At least Letterman loves Ferrari.

Jay happens to be a very genuine and generous person who opens up the doors to his collection and lets other in to enjoy the wide variety of cars he owns and loves. Personally, I don't find you funny at all. There are many folks out there who have lesser collections and won't let anyone near them. Jay drives all of his cars. He cares for all of his cars. And he loves to share the experience of them with other folks. I know, that makes him a really bad man, doesn't it???

Fortunately for all of us, the closest YOU'LL ever get to any of his cars is watching him drive them on the Speed channel from your trailer park in Hicksville FLA. (Oh, that's right, Frances is about to do to you what you propose to do to Jay's MacLaren. Have a nice huricane!)

Here an interesting observation I made last night. In the John Lamm book "Ultimate Garages", Leno's collection is highlighted in 3 warehouses. He has various pieces of art hanging on the walls. Look on pg 49 as I believe he has a picture of a rosso corsa 166 Barchetta displayed. Look close to the binding just above the picture of the blue XK120.

Does anyone else see it, or am I mistaken?

Fortunately for me I owned 4 houses in Florida, a 450 year spanish home thats 5 stories high, and 3 other homes in Porto Rico, and best of all everything is paid, including my cars. If I wanted to I could have a Maclaren F1 and drive it daily.
I can care less about his collection since i don't like most of the cars his is got, for me his collectoin is nothing to look at, yes a lot of money invested but thats all.

Now go to your bathroom and jerk off to all the Jay Leno posters you have hiding by the toilet you sick perverted loser leather pants village people looking ham ass loser.

You're also unbearably arrogant and love to rub your possessions in people's faces. Yeah yeah, you've mentioned 30,000 times you got your first ferrari as a teenager and you're rich blah-blah.

Unfortunately, these material blessings have done nothing to improve your social manner around here. It's hard to believe that someone so successful feels so insecure... I haven't met anyone as wealthy as you claim to be that throws it around like that. Most of them already have enough confidence to not do that.

Fortunately I don't live in the internet and you aren't my neighbor and better yet I don't know you. And this "material things" are a blessing in the real world. Grow up and learn to accept life as it is man.

    He is and does.

Do you see other members whose personal wealth/collection trounces yours making any such claims? Do you ever see Napolis say something like that? Or Brother Bruce?

You have some growing up to do.

It is sad, you make other Ferrari owners who were "given" their car cringe at your display.

For someone who owns 3 homes there, I would figure that you could at least spell PUERTO RICO correctly. Sadly, I guess you can't afford an education as well. Just goes to show that you can't have your cake and eat it too! :D

Gee, I was mistaken. You really ARE funny! If you're so rich, why haven't you coughed up a lousy 15 bucks to become a paying member here? And no name. You're really hot stuff! LOL Your tirade, my friend, makes it clear that you are the one who is the loser here, not me. So go sit in your mansion, if you really have one, and count your money, if you really have any, and keep your dim-witted, vituperative comments to yourself.

p.s. If you're going to berate someone, learn to spell first. You'll look far less ignorant.

I agree with what has said about the class of this "porto rico" individual. However, making light remarks about an event that is going to damage the lives of millions is childish. As I once lived in Florida and hope to soon again, I hope all of our friends down there are safe and by some miracle do not see the wrath of this storm, ( to which the size and projected winds I can't remember to be reached in my small years. ) I would not doubt that the largest percentage of Fcars are in Florida, and anyone who has been to SE Florida will remember there seems to be as many Ferrari dealers as there are Starbucks. I know this statement was in jest, but is at a really stupid time.

I don't think you own jack squat--cars, houses, nothing. You need to cough up fifteen bucks for a sub if you are actually that freaking rich, or maybe it would be better for you to just take your crap to the aol message boards, where the morons really congregate.

I certainly wish ill to no one, other than this jokester, with regard to Frances. It most certainly is a very serious situation. I've been corresponding today with several Jaguar friends in Florida, one of them in Orlando, and things are not looking good. Hopefully, the storm will diminish or turn or otherwise spare them the brunt of it. You obviously picked up the snide nature of the remark, which was intended only to express my feelings for that particular fellow, not the millions of unfortunate folks facing a difficult next 48 to 72 hours. I'm sure all of our prayers go out to all of them, except for Testaputzface.

One must admit there are a LOT of jerk broker/dealers in the classic car field. Jay might have just had a negative experience with one of the Ferrari people.

I have met Jay and talked to him a number of times, and he is a nice guy and straight shooter. His main interest is in BIG engines cars...that's why he owns some aero-engined monsters. He knows these kind of cars as well as anyone in the world. I think at one time he worked as a Rolls-Royce mechanic.

Well, if anyone would be genuine in not liking Ferrari's, than Jay is the one. I mean, he has the money, so if he actually did like Ferrari's he'd sure as hell would have a couple of them. A lousy experience in trying to obtain one, doesn't kill off the true love for the cars, now does it? So, Jay apparently really doesn't like Ferrari's. But that's just fine. Why wouldn't it be?

Jay Leno does like Ferrari's! He's just not into the game of
"How much can I squeeze this celebrity for?" He was pissed
by the treatment he'd received when he inquired. When the
Salesman gave him the "Bend over to play" treatment, he
    merely thought to himself, " I don't need this ****" ( His words )

Porto Rico is the old name of Puerto Rico, educated people know this.
Porto Rico means Rich Port, Porto = Puerto. As a fact in italian you have words like "porta" "due" "porto" in castellano (spanish) or castilian for you in this words like many other the letter "o" is changed to "ue" so this words are "puerta" "dos" "puerto". People that speak latin based languages would know this. I think you are the one who needs the education.

To everyone who is attacking me for making a funny post about the Maclaren F1, I am not an arrogant guy in any way and I was answering in that manner to "FasterIsBetter" because he didn't need to respond back to me in that manner. Why are you all getting involved between him and me?
He must be a real "man" if he is to talk garbage getting out of subject and wish me and my family harm in any way, now I bet he thinks thats classy.
First of all it felt like a low blow and maybe thats what you do do well, but not me. If I was to say something like that I would do it in that persons face and not from afar, you talked like a coward and not like a man. I responded to you with real facts and it felt good to rub it in your face and it was only meant for you because I felt good telling the truth and letting you know that I will be more than ok. If I sounded arrogant that wasn't the way I wanted to sound like.
If you or anyone answer back in any idiotic manner go ahead and do it, I will not lower to that level. But if anyone wants to wish my family any harm then do it in front of me, if you have class you would not write it in a internet board as any educated men would not because he knows that class and bravery goes hand in hand.
I wish we were face to face and thats all I have to say.

SO back to the question....please men, stop the flame throwing. Its not necessary here. Even if Jay was treated unfairly by the dealer or a broker, he could easily find an older 12 fcar 4 sale. He can buy private across the country, and he can do the work himself without going to the delaer. So, I dont by that theory of a bad experience with a broker or dealer attitude. I think it goes deeper than this. WIth his collection, certainly and fcar should be in it.

I think him being anti-F-car gives him more publicity opportunities.

I mean, who wouldn't like to ask more questions to a "car guy" who has everything yet scorns the most famous exotics? I also think that he has picked a 'team' to dislike, the same way some are against the Yankees or Lakers, if only 'just because.'

I mean, everyone on car forums knows a certain someone because of his legendary hate for most Ferraris, right? (and manner of expressing that to enthusiasts)
