How could you?!?!? Everybody in the country should be rooting for the 2003 CO-champions who are already #3 in the rankings!!! Their win last year was the single greatest event in the history of the universe if you ask anybody down here.
    ;)

Whoops! I definitely should have put a "roll-eyes" smilie or somehting to better express my sarcasm. I am definitely NOT a LSU fan. (My wife is, however) :( And quite frankly, I'm sick of hearing about their CO-championship LAST year. GET OVER IT!! The farther south you go in La, the more rabid and senseless the fan base becomes. I work with several people who, if blindfolded, could not spell L S U. Yet they are N E V E R seen without some sort of LSU regalia on. I find it most amusing since they didn't attend college at all much less LSU.

Ah, but I digress. I don't want to turn your thread into a LSU-bashing one. I'll let Kelly (Tifosi1) start his own! LOL!

'tis ashame that so many so-LA cajuns w/o a GED support LSU to the extent that they do, but every other state college has their share of those fans as well. Unfortunately, they are a small but visible part of the fan base.

For me, it's nice to lead the nation in something. Especially considering that we're trailing all other states in so many aspects...

True enough. I do have to give them their props for making it as far as they did, even if they did have to share the #1 position. I just know that 5 years from now people around here will still be hootin' an' hollerin' about their national championship. I think Sat's game proved that in the words of Col. Trautman: "It's over Johnny, it's OVER!"

Dave, LSU didn't have to share anything, they won the BCS which is how college football selects the natioanal champion, USC is a BCS school and should be thrown out of the BCS for making any claims to a Natioanl Championship last year. USC was number one in a poll which is a opinion and for the last 20 years I have taken a poll and LSU was the selection for number one every year in my poll :) Now is we let USC claim a share I guess we will have to listen to Kelly talk about Tulane's share of the title when they went 12 - 0 a few years back

Thanks for the bashing of LA & LSU by Dave and Charlie.

Plenty of room in Oregon to move to I hear. :)
