Hello guys I am based in london and planning with another friend to have a go at the nordschliefe. we have 550 and 360.... is there a good itinerary you recommend to get there from the eurotunnel in calais ? We would like to enjoy good quality - unrestricted - autobahns.... Any suggestion aboout through where we should go ? cheers Thibaut
Not sure of the directions - I just rely on my 'b1tch in a box' to tell me where to go. However watch out on the French motorways - when you hit a toll booth where you have to take a ticket, keep your average speed down to the limit (this usually means a blast, then a stop!) as they time you between toll points. On the ones when you just pay, or after you han d the ticket back in at the next point, only the fuzz to watch out for - those roads are GREAT for driving fast - really flat, clear, long visibility and smooth surfaces.
