In looking at 550 asking prices, and NADA values, I see quite a range.
What are your thoughts regarding values for a 97-2000 550, under 15,000 miles, no stories, documented service history? How is demand for these cars?

    Thanks

Hmmm, for some reason it's comes out a lot neater when you quote it, then when you view it in the thread?!

Is this the original analysis Dale, or has it been updated?

    Dale,
    Thanks for your help.
I'd like to ask some stupid questions,
Are you assuming an automatic 10% discount from asking prices?
Where did you get your asking prices from?
I also checked out NADA.com, here is what they said for retail prices

    Year Low Avg. High
    1997 $116,000 $117,000 $125,000
    1998 $119,000 $123,000 $126,500
    1999 $126,000 $133,000 $137,000
    2000 $136,000 $141,000 $146,000
    2001 $139,000 $146,000 $164,000

They was no option on the website for mileage, options etc.
I would assume you would adjust through the range.
I tried to post the headers over the price, but being computer challenged was unable to do so

Yes, I, along with just about everybody esle, starts at 15% below asking and ends up at 10% below.

Mostly the FML and the Internet. Send me PM with your email, and I'll send you the spreadsheet.

The NADA prices are always too high

Hi, new to site. Well I feel good about the purchase I just made after reading this post. I just picked up a 2001 550 Maranello with 6,8xx miles for $126,000. Silver with black Lusso int. I think there are good deals out there, they are just hard to find.

did you buy the EURO car that Heritage Classics had for sale, because they were selling an identical car to the one you described. If so the market value would be a minimum of 10% less than a US car. BTW Jim Lyons at Sports Car Company was originally selling the same car for $115,000, I know because I considered it before I bought my 550.
