This is from Dallas, and the new coupe was unveiled. Sorry for the pics, camera phone.
FYI, These pics were taken by the owner of Viperalley.com and they were posted just tonight on the site. If you want to follow the story and reactions go to Viperalley.com
Very very nice. Those pictures aren't bad for a camera phone either. I really don't think the people who complained that the Viper "lost it's edge" with the new styling have a leg to stand on, especially after seeing this coupe. Competition coupe? I thought someone on here said those things were junk and couldn't race?
Here's the best view. 98 GTS, red, 8K miles, many mods, FOR SALE. AJ, when you get one of these I'm coming down. What do you think, 550-600hp?
Nice shot of the AZZ. Man, you would think this was a competition or something. Those Viper Alley kids are funny. ITS THE INTERNET. Something posted on one site will end up on another in minutes.lol. ps I meant the cars AZZ, but the chick in the white ain't bad either!!
I was hoping for a rear exhaust. Hopefully that will change. How cool would it look with the large rear exhaust coming out of the middle of the diffuser. I went ahead and posted one of yours at the alley aj. I assume they came from the vca site. Thanks.
In one of the other pics you can see smokin standing next to her. I think it's his girlfriend. I cut him out of that one, but you could see him in the original.
It looks too much like the C6 Corvette! I was hoping for something more radical (like the Comp Coupe). It looks like my '96 GTS with a body kit. I guess I have to look at it for a while and see if it grows on me. My first impression is that I definitely won't be selling my GTS. Depending on the performance numbers, a Ford GT with the prototype V-10 might be worth waiting for... Brad
Funny, as much I adore the old Viper ... this one does nothing for me. It's just "another" sports coupe. Dunno.
Talked with Fitzgerald motor sports...they aren't taking deposits say it is still in concept stage? It needs to look more like that the Comp Coupe for my liking. They can be done I'm sure.
It looks like a C6 Corvette front end married to a Mustang rear. This is just plain boring and it probably took the engineers at Dodge a whopping 2 weeks to convert the Carbon Coupe hardtop to a hatch and add the duck tail onto a basic SRT-10 convertible. Concepts are supposed to push the envelope on radical and this does nothing but bore me. Brad
I wonder why they don't make a "stradale" version that looked like the comp car but was street legal. Like the Ford GT it's a great "old look" Cobra Daytona Coupe with a twist or two.
Thats what the Viper faithful have been yelling for. A street legal comp coupe, or this. This was the original GTS-R prototype in 2001. Still looks great.
No they are not but I drove mine about 1000 miles on the street.Drove it to a car show on Rodeo drive even! Image Unavailable, Please Login
