suuurrreeeee...... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6212&item=2489412167&rd=1
if you look at the seller's feedback, the average price of their last couple-dozen transactions is SUB $10. this is a scam or a joke. doody.
Maybe the seller forgot to add a zero and the price should have been $175,000? Still a good deal for a 550 Barchetta, no?
Mike Sheehan had that car at $395,000 a while back and the text and pics in that auction are straight from his site. 550 Barchetta s/n 123074 (2001 USA model).
Ferrari made 448 of the production version along with 6 pre-production prototypes. So on the rarity scale it's somewhere between the Enzo and the Honda Accord.
If someone were to click the "Buy It Now" option, wouldnt the seller be under a contract to sell you the item at that price?? I know eBay is full of scams, but what about the bidding contract? Imagine if the seller were forced (by the courts or otherwise) to hold up their end of the deal? The seller probably does not even have this car in their possesion, hence it could be difficult to make that happen. I am tempted to use the Buy It Now option myself. What is the worst that could happen? Payment, of course would be made in person, after inspecting the car and its paperwork........Could be a quick 300 grand???
