Chris is always on top of the latest 430 information, keeping an eye out for the EC Boyz. Representin'!!
Its hot, but I think it has more influence from the 360 then the Enzo. I was under the impression that it was borrowing heavy cues from the Enzo. At least from the spy photos that I saw in all the mags. Except for the rear lights, I don't see that. I may be wrong, but it looks more evoulotion then revolution. Think 328 to 348, revolution. 348 to 355 revolution. 355 to 360 revolution. 360 to 430 evolution???? You guys see it that way?
werd... i think its 348 - 355, 360 - 430, what will be exciting to see it what will replace the 430, which should be "totally new". i heard that it will be very radical in design...
You mean a 1994 348? Same interior as the 1995 355? I believe that they are similiar. Don't remember.
The 94 355, which was sold only in Europe, gives some insight into the close ties between the 348 and the 355. It was the 95 355 where much of the "final" stpes in the evolution from 348 to 355 occurred. There used to be this great web resource about the evolution of the 355 from the 348 detailing the changes from 348 --> 94 355 --> 95 355 --> 96 955. It detailed why the 94 355 was really a "re-skinned" 348, how the 95 355 was the ultimate hand-built v8 Ferrari and why the 96 cars with the 5.2 motronic was actually a step backwards in terms of power and performance. It went into very fine detail outlingin suspension changes, chassis construction techniques, etc. Really good stuff. Someone tried to build similar resource with the 328 to the 348, but as you said, it was too much of a revolution. I think we should build one on the 360 to the 430...
Didn't know about the 1994 355. Even though they say that a 355 is a reskinned 348 and the panels are interchangeable, its a different car, forget performance, just looks. 355 is sexy, the 348, well, is very nice, not beautiful (to be kind). I don't see the evolution from a 348 to a 355. Family resemblence. Thats it. If the two cars were people, and the designer was a plastic surgen, then I want to use that plastice surgen! He transformed the 348 (I won't call it an ugly duckling) into what its should of been. One of the most beautiful Ferrari's. Before I bought mine, I wanted a 355, but the airbag turned me off. Got kids.
I had heard the same, but not the fact that this was all captured on a website. Where, or where, is that website?!?
Note number 1: Early 456s had different interiors too. Note number 2: guy says he has 18 Ferraris: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29877&page=4

He's up there with Napolis, Costa and Amenasce as having the best collections then.. Damn, one day...
Hey, I think the Tr-State crew should be considered "one collection" since we all drive each others cars.
drove down broadway starting on 72nd street through times square last night at around 2am.... awesome... no traffic... the echoing sounds of the car off the buildings.... we gots to do a photo shoot AND cruise... 8-10 cars will sound even better.
Somebody PLEASE pick up the ball & do this before we loose the nice weather...and not me, I paid my dues
My car is down at the moment, BUT! I'd love to do this... Maybe we do a test shoot tonight, but I think that the police presence may be too much. It is the anniversary of 9/11 today. Perhaps next weekend after the CC Concours?
