I know this car's predecessor is the 360, but with the exception of the rear, the car looks basically the same. I don't think they changed enough styling-wise for a new model.

    Think 308-328 or 348-355 or Testarossa - 512 TR.

In these pics the design looks more coherent than on the presentation pics. It's nice. If I ordered one, I'd ask if they could do the inside of the front airintakes in the car's color.

the new rear doesn't look so bad on yellow. I detest it on red for some reason.

Is it just me, or do the air inlets in the front fender look cheap. I mean the black paint, it looks like someone just spray painted it. Justmy .02. But besides that, she is one SEXY car.

I'm willing to GUARANTEE that the car is 110% cooler in person......pictures cannot possibly translate the emotion a Ferrari evokes in person.

i think you are right.....and it is basically a 360 with some minor cosmetic changes...the real change is under the hood

Based on that picture, I have to admit I do like the body style of the 360 better. In my opinion, the 360 looks much more sleek and low-slung than the new 430. If they were priced the exact same, I'd lean towards the 360. Does anyone feel the same way, or am I just going out on a limb here?

thanks for the pics!! i like the fourth one the best...the design does obviously look alot similar to the 360, and you had to expect that though. a car with such perfect lines cannot be completely overturned into a new model. the new 430 looks good in yellow.

I kind of like how its bulky, especially in the rear, it gives it a sort of raw mean badass look. The 360 is too slick compared to it. But I definitely need to see this car in person.

The lines of the 360 are smoother indeed. The lines on the 430 seem to stop and go upwards, creating angles similar to those on the Gallardo. It really halts the flow in the lines. But.. I dig the 430, just not in yellow. I'd rather have those lines hidden, but that's just my take.

Nice - Thanks for the comparison photos. The 430 looks more agressive. Got some huge calipers on that sucker also.

    I love it.

Nobody ever said it was a totally new car.

Ferrari always works this way with their mid-engined V8 cars.

New platform, 308, upgraded to the 328.
New platform, 348, upgraded to the F355.
New platform, 360, upgraded to the F430.

And the F430 is like 65% new, which is a huge upgrade by the way.

I totally disagree. As much as I like the 360, it's almost to "sexy". I prefer more aggressive cars like the F430.

It looks better with 360CS style wheels IMO. And yellow calipers on a yellow car don't work for me either.

Shields also seem to help from what I've seen on the other photos of the car.

The rear lights are too small by a fraction, and the shut lines of the rear panels are messy. Almost as if they were trying too hard and then couldn't make them fit any other way.

I agree with the air inlets on the front - hopefully they're bare carbon, but I doubt it.

And I truly hope they binned the F430 script on the wing mirrors.

But all that said, it's not as bad as I initially thought it was. A CS version will look very good I think.

Still won't be "upgrading" to one of these though. If the AM V8 looks half as good as it does in the pre-prod photos I've seen, my money would be back from Italy and in the UK.

I agree that the rounded front air inlets look odd, but I do like Ryan Alexander's interpretation.

I also question the seam where the rear bumper and fender meet. Im sure something cleaner cldve been created:

The 360's rounded features worked well together........the 430 has both.......soft curves and angular lines........it doesn't work at all IMHO.....and those wheels.......I'll pass.

The 430 is butt ugly IMHO..........whereas the 360 was beautiful...........it's amazing what subtle changes to a basic design can do.

In the same vein but in reverse......348 butt ugly......355 beautiful.....

I think it's still a preproduction model, those sort of things like fender gaps and whatnot will be sorted out. :)
