Well, two days ago my carbon fiber engine cover arrived and man was it a snap to install...no joke. Just remove four bolts and pop that bad boy on there! Major props go out to John Fiore who posted these up not too long ago and who was extremely helpful in getting my order put in. I also purchased the heat shield cover as well...I have one pick here (low res), but PLEASE take a look at this link as there are about 15 exceptionally hi-res images (1200 x 1600 I think) which I posted up for your viewing enjoyment...

I really like the look and have had a number of people already comment on how cool it is to see that monster 12-cylinder engine up close and personal. Just awesome!!!

    Cheers,
    Travis

No problem...it was actually posted to F-Chat a few weeks back. In fact, the thread was just moved (I noticed) to the model-specific section that has Testarossas...John Fiore (aka JohnBob) was the individual who posted it...he has a TwinTurbo Testarossa and an F40 that are pictured in the thread too...I am not savvy enough to link to the post...but here is my best try:

    http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28240

I hope that works...if not, the thread is not too hard to find. I had actually seen a similar part posted by Wolfgang that had the Ferrari horse etched onto the glass (looked VERY nice) but this is great too...John actually said they are going to produce a carbon fiber front spoiler for the Testarossa which I am also going to pick up since mine has 14 years of road-rash and a small crack in it...the new one would look sweeeeeeeet. Okay, hope this helps...now if I could figure out how to get that picture from the movie The In-Laws with the 512 rims for you ;-)

    Cheers,
    Travis

    Thanks, Travis...

One quick question... That red line thingie - is that a light of some sort, or just a red line thingie...? Can that color be changed...?

Carbon...that is the third break light. The ironic thing is that only half of my "original" third break light worked so this was like killing two birds with one stone. I am not sure if you can change the color or not but Senor Fiore would be able to help you out there. I can't wait to see the spoiler!!!

    Cheers,
    Travis

The decklid looks great on the black car.

Love the spoiler idea, but the question really is, will it hold up better than the fiberglass ones that I have to replace every couple of years due to cracks and chips or will it hold up better?

Parts are made utilizing spaceage technology incorporating pre-preg carbon fiber with kevlar reinforcement (kevlar is used to make bullet proof vests). These parts are fabricated using the same vaccuum/oven process that is used by the areospace industry. Much stronger/tougher (and in my opinion cooler looking) than the factory fiberglass parts. Should be more resistant to rack chips etc, however in the battle between car parts and concrete parking bumpers proabably not a match.
    Best regards,
    John
