I'm not sure about that. Most are noting that the 360CS trumps the lot, and I have to agree. The standard car falls uncomfortably between grace and aggression. The CS knows what it wants to be big time. As did the 355. I've never really liked the front lights on the 360 range, and the rear's a bit bulky for my taste. The side profile is pretty good. The 355 isn't perfect. Direct front on there are bits that were done much better on earlier cars, but the rest of it is quite simply stunning. The rear and rear 3/4 view on the 355 are pure automotive perfection. It's the loss of such a quality view from these angles that I think is the saddest, especially on the 430 by the look of it. Just goes to how how subjective this stuff is. PS I have similar sentiments about the Miura. I have an issues with change and evolution in the Lambo line with that car too
I don't know how to describe it. It was a 95 spider. The door itself felt light and delicate, plus it's a small car, smaller than the 360 and 430. In my opinion, all Ferraris feel that way pre-360/550 era. They're just a bit...thin. The newer cars are chubby, feel more solid to me. You win some; you also lose some.
355/430, 360. I like the 355 and 430 equally I love the way they both look really modern even though the 355 has been around since 95. The 360 is gorgous but its missing something that the 355 had the agressive look the front. The 360CS however looks alot better then the stock 360.
F355, F430 (I have to see it in real life before making my final decision),360 Note: The 360 CS with stripe would be on top of the list.
the very first time i saw a 355 in the flesh i was able to get in it and thoroughly check it out. i thought it was a good car, not very sexy...but sporty enough. the first time i saw a 360 in the flesh, i about lost it in my pants. gorgeous beyond belief. i would rather have one than any gorgeous babe in this world. it is my favorite car of all time, and after i rode in one...that assumption was deemed correct for me. i will let you know what happens when i get closer to a 430. 1. 360 (for now) 2. 430 3. 355
I think the 355 is the best of the bunch, I like the Berlinetta and GTS, I'm not a fan of spiders though. To me the 360 is too bland. Also, the sound of the 355 kicks everythings arse... To me though, the F40 and 288GTO are some of the most beautiful cars ever, along with the 250 Lusso and 250GTO.
I agree. The 360 looks a bit too bland and the rear is way too bulbous, like a Japanese bubble car. The 430 looks like a riced 360, as someone else mentioned.
For me it's F355, then F430, 360 CS, 360 spider, 360 Modena I think that the 430 is better looking and more agressive than the 360 series...
for me it's 430, 355, 360. but i must say that i have to see the 430 in real to be sure that this is correct... from the pics i like the 430 very much!!
Out of that model line-up w/ all the different variations from fav. to least fav. I'd have to go, 360CS, 355 Berlinetta, 360 spider, 355 spider, 355 GTS, 360 coupe, 430 coupe. I do think the 430 will look better as a spider than as a coupe.
currently i don't care for the 360 styling i'll wait to see what the 430 looks like in time, just IMHO, the 360's will flood the market and prices will drop like a rock most people not to keen on 360 styling the 430 will do to the 360 what the 355 did to the 348 again, just my 2 cents
I think it is the natural "resistance to change" I like them all but am going to by-pass the 360 and go for the 430. Dave Mc
The problem with this thread is like arguing which is better, blond or brunette - ya gotta love them all. All 355 owners will vote 355 and 360 owners will vote 360.... I have a 355 and could have purchased a 360 (price not an issue), but opted for a 355 for personal reasons. However, having said that.... If all 3 were on a showroom floor and someone said "pick one" I would take a 430 because it's new and anything new breeds excitement.
