    Kinda screwed up on the thread. This is not Lisbon obviously. It is the 2003 Concourse D'Elegance Meadowbrook pics I have from Michigan USA on my trip there last summer from Toronto Canada.

    Forgot I had these, enjoy. I'll only post a few. Didn't wanna BORE you guys :p

    Is this GT40 registered in the U.K.????
    I saw last year one on my way from Germany to Italy nearly Luzern. I have met the gent (after a race on the highway--another story in the old forum) and we have had breakfast together in a restaurant.
    This GT40 looks like the one I have met (same color and engine pics)

    It could be! It's a small world. And I just realized that the GT40 in my pics is RHD so it's probably a UK car! So there you go. The only way to get info of this car is to check the results for the 2003 concourse because I do believe he won something. This car was perfect and seemed to be all original. It looked great close to a couple of 400 & 350 GT lamborghini's, the Yellow Ferrari 365 GTB and my collegues Ferrari 250 GT Buano!!! Here are some more pics. Note the "real" Gullwing's??? Spectacular!

    indeed a very smal world;)
    I still have the mobil number fom the british gent with his GT40 - try to call him later in the afternoon.
    This was damn fast car & race I have lost on the highway. I was hunting the GT40 over 50 km but couldn`t cull him;) He passed me at 260km/h like I was standing and nothing for him.....

    Hi Vasco,

    we will lose the rematch!!!! The GT40 is ultra lightweight and so damn fast. It was strange battle I have lost;) It happened on a Swiss highway and there was speed-limit for 80km/h = 50mph!!! We got flashed 3 times in a row within a 2 miles radius. Each time he hit first the flash and I was second on the photo shooting. I was always around 260km/h = 162mph. (Have had a bit problems for a while with this stupid race:D) I spoke to the driver later when we have had a coffe and breakfast together. He can go over 300km/h = 190mph without any problems. He uses a long 5th gear!!!!!!

    Try to call him but no connection...keep you updated;)
