I started to wear racing shoes with my jeans, and it's so comfortable! Is that just me, or do other people do that?

Any other racing gears that are comfortable to wear for everyday stuff? (such as Nomax shirts, Nomax socks, etc.)

Ditto. Except I actually wore out my Piloti shoes. Need to re-order.

I'm buying shoes next summer, is it "weird" when you first drive in them? I just went a round the block a few times in my socks and it was hard to use the clutch and gas as usuall.

It doesn't feel that weird, except you can "feel" the paddles much better, and feel so much more "spacious" around the paddles.

I actually went out jogging this morning in the racing shoes, and it's really comfortable. I got the SPARCO/PUMA Formula One style shoes. I highly recommend it.

Never. Outside the confines of a race track, it's posing.

Theyre not very comfortable for walking as they have little padding. I might buy some rally shoes that look more like boots, those might be better for walking too

If you're a real driver its not posing :)

sort of annoys me that everybody is wearing track shoes now though, most people probably dont even have a clue what they are for LOL

I used to have Puma racing shoes and I bought them only because i liked the way they looked. I discovered they are racing shoes after they got small on me... lol

I was at a track once and bumped into someone outside the car. These had the rounded heels and when I bumped the guy he backpedaled windmilling his arms for balance like 10 feet before finally falling over. Damned funny.

Pilotis work VERY well as regular shoes but the Fila Schumacher shoes are for driving only.

i wear those puma sparco race cats (low height) street shoes regularly. you get a similar pedal feel with the patterns of the sole on the pedals but without the high cut.
