Caiola Collection Photos

It was a beautiful day in lower Manhattan today. Benny Caiola displayed some of his amazing collection in front of Filli Ponte Ristorante for a charity event there. The entire block was closed off, which allowed a nice relaxing atmosphere. I went nuts with my camera for about 90 minutes straight. Enjoy the pix.

Wow. That's an amazing collection. First off where does he keep them all? Second who gets to drive them back, don't tell me thats flat bed came back and forth all day long to get them.

Embarrasingly, I couldn't make it either. (couldn't get a babysitter). Looks awesome. Did you get any chat time with the big man? He's a fun guy to be around. Full of passion and great stories. This past summer my Dad was driving near Modena and said two Paganis blazed past him. Looking up it was my Uncle Ben and Horatio Pagani himself both having a blast with the cars!

Emil - I did ask who wants to come a couple times.

Benny had sent home the two F50s, F40, and Pagani around 4pm. I was just glad I got the hear the Pagani and F50s running. Simply amazing!

Not all the cars in the photos are Benny's. I know the 512M and Miura belong to someone else. But this also respresents a mere fraction of what Benny does own including an F40LM, two 333 SPs, Countach, Diablo, CGT, Benz SLR.... basically anyones fantasy garage.

Benny did tell me his new Pagani is the open top model and he said it is blood red... I asked, "like rosso corsa?"... he replied, "no redder!"

Big man? Im 5'6 and I was eye to eye with him. He ran away from me when I told him Im friends with nephew Ben.. just kidding. He is a really nice guy.

 

Not a bad collection. Nice of Ben to show them for charity. Wish I saw the cars in person.

 

Its great to see someone who brings his cars out to see the light of day. Hat's off to Tuttu Benny!

And Greg, you got some great shots. Thanks for taking the time to send them up to the site for us to enjoy.
