    Quick question; in pics 5 and onward you can see a towel the mechanics pushed in a gap in the bodywork....why?

    While I'm not a tech on the car, my guess would be to keep people from using the radiator exhaust from being a trash can. Strange things happen around race cars at events. It looks like it was removed before the car was running on the track.

    It was coolish (high 50's fahrenheit) over the weekend. In fact, the towel, blocking the radiator outlet was probably being used as an aide to help warm up the car quickly (the oil cooler also lives there). I do exactly the same thing (but using an old pillow) on my Noble P4 replica, when first starting her up on cold mornings ....

    Heating it up quicker makes sense. I was under the impression that the blanket was added after a run. My mistake.
