By the way, in Mark's defense, the process here when someone spams the board is to:

    1. Clean up the mess, letting that person know what they have done wrong and what the appropriate action should be.

    2. If they come back and spam the board again, they will receive a temporary ban.

    3. If they insist on continuing to spam the board, they receive a permanent ban.

Ali originally posted his ad in something like seven different forums at once. I deleted all of the ads and left the following message in their place:

    Thread deleted by Wayne Ausbrooks
Reason: Spam: Posted in several different forums. Please use www.ferrariads.com instead.

Ali then placed his ad on www.ferrariads.com and all was well. When someone started a thread asking what had happened to Ali's ads, the following responses were given:

    And all was well.

Then Ali took it upon himself to start new threads with the ads inculding this one. Mark place a temporary ban on his account. If he disagrees with Mark's decision, he can take it up with Rob.

Wayne, thanks for your post. That does help in understanding the process. It was my understanding that Ali had posted in many different forums. I also understood that this issue had been resolved and he was made aware of the error. I realize Ali did little to support his cause, but I think it was out of frustration and feeling backed into a corner. I personaly don't consider listing potential Enzo sales in the same catagory as real estate, products, or other schemes. I want people to be able to post a thread regarding interesting Ferrari sales. I know this might be considered an advertisement but I bet it would be of value to many subscribers here. I rarely look at ferrariads.com and a thread making us aware is helpful. I hope he is genuine, I hope he can sell them, I hope they can be federalized, I hope someone here buys one or more and they get a good deal. I'd rather that then they get sold to someone off FChat because the person didn't see it listed in Ferrariads.

Once again, thanks for taking the time to clarify a few points. Though, do you also recommend banning or would you welcome him back?

Brad, just let it be. it is not worth it.

The only thing i don't understand is that why a wealthy so called prince wants to sell his Enzo in the first place? Does he realy need the extra $300K in his pocket? And also if i was a prince and just bought an Enzo i would have definetly put on some mileage on these cars.

Ali, can you post the Vin's on these cars?

Ali is no longer interested in supporting F-chat. No further discussion has been had with anyone regarding "reinstatement".

I got involved with this late, but basically Ali just had a temporary ban. I told him not a big deal, it had just appeared that he was spamming the board and wouldn't stop. That's along with creating an alias, which is a no-no.

So it could have stopped there, ban would end in 4 days and all would be good. Now Ali is attacking me in personal emails just like he did Mark.

So basically the incident that caused this was no big deal, but his personal attacks towards users, moderators, and myself will not be tolerated.

Ali is not welcome back at FerrariChat.com. He ruined it for himself, all the mods and I tried to help him.

This thread/discussion is over. I don't want to see anything else on it in the forum. Please contact me offline if still questions or issues. Any new threads on this in the forum will be subject to a banning.

Wayne has described the rules about the original situation, that's all that is needed.
