Where I live it's even cheaper than that. Plus the grocery store I shop at has this thing where when you buy certain items you get so many cents off the price of gas (they have tehre own gas station.) So when I get gas it's not unusual for it to be about $1.15/gallon

Six years ago, when I started driving, I paid 79.9 cents/gallon for gas. I miss those days :(

I remember paying $.89/gal for gas in NH on the way to go skiing once. This is probably 10 years ago now... ahhh the good old days.

Now if you were an enterprising entrepreneur, you'd have filled your tank, driven up to NY and sold the gas for $1.79 and had customers all day long!

Thinking back to the spring of '86, I remember regular unleaded at $.75 a gallon (give or take a couple pennies). Taxes are so high these days that it'll never bottom to a level like that. But I'd settle for seeing .99 posted on the big signs again; $26 for pumpin' 12 gallons of premium is just too out of hand!

Has anyone other than myself ever wondered why gas is priced at $1.64 and 9/10ths of a penny per gallon, and not just simply $1.64 or $1.65?? I bet someone is making a bundle from collecting that huge fraction of a cent every time I fill up. I sure can't think of anything else off the top of my head that costs a fraction of a penny.

If I wanted to buy exactly one gallon of gas, would they round up or round down on the price? Could I make out like a bandit by saving .9 cents every time like this, or should I complain to the gas station manager about getting ripped off by a tenth of a cent? Until they make a tenth-penny coin, these are the kind of questions that keep me from sleeping at night...

Well I pay around $2.25 for premium in Beverly Hills/Malibu but the way I see it, the trade off is well worth the difference! :D

1.68 yesterday for Shell 87 octane in Houston, Texas. The Corolla sips little gas.

Some guy around the block was selling Citgo (no M.E. oil/Just American oil) 87
octane about a month ago. 1.59

How about this .66 cents 87 Octane Love's truck stop Oklahoma City (Around Thanksgiving November 1998).
