Ferrari's announcement doesn't say anything about the number of valve per cylinder, and I've seen conflicting new reports, some saying 5 but most saying 4.

Given the Enzo has 4 and the Maser 4200 has 4 I say it has 4.

    Anyone have a definitive answer?

I have the autocar mag, plus the Evo and Car coverage, but not top gear magazine (I find it a bit "Max power" for my taste, but the TV program is good).

I had the impression that they were making up some of the details - Car includes a statement that its 5 valves per cylinder. I thought that the Maser had belts and therefore its highly likely that the 430 does as well. Esp since the "opportunity" for service revenue for belt changes is so significant.

That could be a belt. Some new types of belts can last a long time.
