With Ford pulling out, there may be a scenario where the top teams have to field an extra car to keep the fields up. If there were a 3rd Ferrari, who would you want to see in it? Let's assume that all non-Jaguar driver contracts remain the same as announced for 2005.
oooh oooh two potential blast from the past drivers (in name and one in history) "Schecter" or "Villenuve" on the side Thomas Schecter (IRL) or JV would ignite a lot of Tifosi
Please say no, this guy has been afforded seats when he is not deserving. As usual its the last name that makes it happen for him b/c his results don't! That knuckle head would crash 1/3 of the limited field thats there already, ask Eddie Cheever !!! Oh, no 3rd car.......
The forgotten man.........Luca Badoer. He gets little press and has done a ton of work for Ferrari. In one of the German magazines a year ago MS said that he attributes much of the success to Ferrari's F1 car the past three years to Badoer's tireless testing. Luca has been there since 97 I believe and he didn't get the ride in 99 (Salo). He deserves it !!!!! When everyone thinks Ferrari they think Schumacher, Luca D., Barrichello, Todt, Brawn, Bryne, Martinelli. I think it would be nice to reward Luca Badoer for his work. Regards, Jon P. in my dream world: Eddie Irvine in the real world: Liuzzi or Villneuve if the rules from Tillman didn't apply: JPM so he could give Michael a run for his money. That's not to say he would beat him, but he would not obey team orders.
Badoer would deserve it, but I think he himself has long given up hope that will ever happen and considers his job as a professional test driver. Point in case: 1999 where it would have been obvious, that Luca should have taken over, but Ferrari decided to pick Salo instead.
I dunno man, a 3rd car, it's getting too ridiculous. It was always 2 cars. Imagine, if jordan and minardi pull out because of the cosworth deal or something else. that would leave 7 teams, 14 cars. 6 teams will have to put an extra car. then they have to make a new scoring system. Who wants that?! It would be like the olympics with only 3 countries. Even though I would like to see three cars on a race, just once, i wouldnt like it for the whole season. my phylosophy, More Teams, More Cars, More Drama, More fun, More Montoya........errm....never mind. Lol, George.
