    What the hell are you talking about?

    If that thing really weights 1400kg then its a little less then 3100pounds. Think about it....a 575M weights in at a little over 3800pounds with 515hp and this thing will weight in at just a little under 3100pounds with 537hp and even more torque?

    575M = 7.41 pounds per hp
    Murcielago = 6.27 pounds per hp
    550LM = 5.74 pounds per hp

    Winner = 550LM

    It's beautiful too. The add-ons are very purposful without being over the top (with the possible exception of the rear wing, but since it's an "LM" I'll allow it), and add some needed aggression to the grace of the 550.

    Everytime something is add to a Ferrari someone says it's rice. Look at the wing... it's the same wing that is on the race car and it's functional. It's not rice...Jeez.

    So people have no clue what "rice" means....remember if its functional its not rice and that wing is functional.

    The wing might be functional but apparently the roof scoop is not. Optional extras include:

    "LM roof vent (cosmetic purposes only)"

  10. Same quick but only practicle for track use. Dont like the wind yet its highly functional and obviously wasnt added for looks.

    If I had the dosh I'd be all over that. Prodrive sure as hell can make a great looking racecar...very tasteful. I'd paint the wing black, and that'd mask it off a bit, plus you'd have a greater emphasis on the rearward cabin.

    Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

    Unbelievable. That wing underwent 6 weeks of testing to assess flow curvatures around the rear of the car, center of pressure tests, and oilflow testing. Not to mention first few design iterations showed regions of flow separation caused by the original wing mounts (The solid mounts), which in turn caused Advantage CFD to redesign the wing mounting system to address the issue and run further CFD tests.

    All of this testing was realized by 2.5% reduction in drag with the same level of downforce as the prior wing. A Drag reduction of 2.5% simply by utilizing one new component? Yeah you're right, it sounds a little "ricey" to me, better tell Prodrive to remove that ASAP.

    Everyone's an expert.

    Calm down there buddy, dont let yourself get so bent out of shape. It's not that big of a deal, it was just two people who had the same opinion on something, regardless of how functional it is on the race car.

    No one is saying their an expert, except maybe you.

    Not to fuel the flames:

    1. I don't like the look of the wing. It might be cool if it was designed as one piece molded to the car.

    2. I don't think the wing is RICE. There is a clear utilitarian need for it.

    3. The car looks sweet
