Just got back from a week at the Venetian. Spotted a red 355 berlinetta, yellow 355 spider. Didn't see any other Ferraris but every day there was a stunning silver Rolls Phantom parked outside.
Anyone who wants to "spot" some Fcars in LV should come to the Wheels for Safe Nest car show, this coming Sunday (8/29) at Bill Heard Chevrolet. It's sponsored by the Corvette Club, but they've invited several others including the FCLV. It runs from 10AM to 4PM. And if you want to bring your own Ferrari along and enter it, the cost is only $25, payable at the door and all going to charity.
There will be some Italian exotics at the Tap House tomorrow Sept 18 at the Tap House on Charleston between Jones and Decatur around 12:30 at a meeting of the Las Vegas Italian Auto Club. http://www.lviac.com You can also inspect the Ferrari Bikini Calendars when you come.
For those who care, when I was in Las Vegas on August 25th, I saw: * 348 Spider, red/tan, at Dream Car Rentals, fitted with F355 rims * 348 Spider, red/tan, at The Venetian (but rented from Dream Car Rentals). This one had the normal wheels * 360 Spider, red/black at The Mirage and fitted with several options So, even a Dutch guy helps with the Las Vegas Spotters Thread
That is Mike Petersen who owns Petersen Motorsports White Lightning Racing team that won LeMans the last two years in a row. My friend Kevin got a ride in the GT a few days ago. Says it's a rocketship and that Petersen gets these exotics so he can drive them awhile (5,000 miles or so) before selling them to get the next exotic. My buddy Kent Moore at Premier Sports Car Service is the lead technician for Petersen's racing team... http://www.premiersportscarservice.com You can get Petersen's website link from Kent's site. BTW - Kent no longer travels with the race team, so if you ever want to get your Ferrari, Porsche or BMW serviced by the guy who has won LeMans the last two years straight, now is your chance!
There should be about a dozen Ferraris at the Festival of Lights car show, this Sunday (12/4) at The Lakes. Show runs from around noon to 4 PM. Expected cars include an F-40 and a 288GTO, along with other good stuff.
I think the Festival of Lights show is on Saturday - not Sunday. I will be in Vegas this weekend and thought about stopping by the Festival of Lights on Saturday. Anyone know for sure which day it is? I fly out at 4pm on Thursday and leave Sunday morning to fly home. How many Fcars will be at this Festival?? Anyone know? Should I blow off some gambling time to swing by???? ANy costs to attend??? Thanks my
Ahhh. Just re-read your post. About a dozen cars. GTO sounds like that alone would be worth stopping by. I may have to talk my group into stopping by for at least a quick look. What all goes on at this festival? How many other types of cars will be there? Food? SInging? Dancing in the streets????? When I attended the FCA meet in LA a couple years ago, I met a guy from Vegas that had a red 328. Said he was in construction. Anyone know him??? my
The Lakes is a very large master planned community toward the west side of the Vegas valley. The Festival is their annual holiday event, and yes, there's a heck of a lot going on beside the car show. The web site will show you everything. http://lakesassociation.com/festival/ It sounds like you're going to be in town this weekend? If so, stop by. Was the fellow you met in LA named David? I think I know whom you mean, and I expect he'll be there.
I think it was David. He was there by himself I think. I was there with my wife and 3 year old son. He seemed very nice. We are coming to Vegas with another couple and I will see if I can get them to tag along. thanks my
I was on vacation and saw these two rides: Sunday night Dec. 26th - a black 550/575M on the strip by Caesar's Palace Monday afternoon Dec. 27th - a black Rolls-Royce Phantom by Aladdin
