I understand Ferrari imported only 37 of these for model year 1989. Who's got one? Indicate color, mileage, etc. and post pics if you can
I have # 78881 - Red/Tan - 34,000 miles and I have had it for about 18 months....great car, easy to care for and still pulls pretty strong for a 15 year old car
Although I don't have the EXACT figures, these numbers (approx. 30-40 per year) are also for the 328 GTB in all the other years (1986, 1987, 1988). Very clear that the people in the US preferred the 328 GTS .... By the way, I saw at least THREE 1989 328 GTBs at Monterey this year.
I own 79392 about 3 years. Came to me with 7K on it, now about 17K. Prior to this, I owned a 94 348 TB, 3 308's and a 87 328 GTS. This is the best Fcar I have owned for a variety of reasons. (I have a 430 coming but will keep the 328 anyway). I have heard there are anywhere from 37 to 41 '89 US GTB's. I have been keeping records for a number of years and have the VIN's for 23 89's, 18 88's, 8 87's and 12 86's. Based on this info, I think there were about 110-130 GTB's imported for the whole run. Coupes were very unpopular in the US from early 80's to mid 90's. IF you think 328 GTB's are rare, try to find a US QV GTB! There may be 50. If you would like a copy of my list, email me [email protected]. It is in excel format. Dave
I just purchased 81203. Silver/black. 38k miles. Having tubi exhaust installed. Really thrilled with the car so far.
Hi Dave. I also collect serialnumbers and I currently have 31 89's, 35 88's, 29 87's and 26 86's. Total of 121. I will send you an email with my list. And yes, a US 308 GTB QV is even rarer. I have 52 cars in my current list, although I should have a couple more somewhere. Strange that there are probably more F50s in the US than 308 GTB QV's
