Ok, cool..... I just wanted to make sure he was aware if he was an fchater. Don, I'm sure Matt would love to sell you the car for that price......... Good Luck!
I did the same as soon as I saw the first post. Hope they nail this guy/gal. Sorry to hear about scammers out there still. Call Bush maybe we can add them on our Hit List next to Osama B L.
I could "one up" you by bidding 251,000. I don't want to get in trouble with eBay, but it might be fun.
Bidders, Are you able to exchange information via the information form or does it only work if you actually win the bid. I've only used it when I've won so I'm not sure.
I think E-bay will end up pulling the auction before completion. What would be funny is getting this guys hopes of making a killing up so high that he will have a heart attack and drop dead when E-bay shuts him down. Troll: Holy S#!T. Bidding is at $300,000! Im rich!!! Now I can afford a new trailer hitch for my home! 24 HOURS LATER TROLL: <nervous with anticipation> WOW $500,000!!! Now I can afford to buy the old Quick Mart on the corner and convert it to a Porn shop!! When this auction ends <victoriously throwing arms into air> Ill be able to fulfill my life long dream! 2 MINUTES BEFORE AUCTION ENDS TROLL: Dear M.O.G. Im getting away with it!! Im going to be RICH!!! < Pacing the floor the TROLL begins chewing his fingernails and brakes into a nervous sweat> <POP UP WINDOW APPEARS ON SCREEN> Notice from E-Bay: We regret to inform you that your auction has been cancelled! TROLL: NOOOOoooooo!! <Heart stops and Troll falls face first onto the floor of his trailer causing piles of porn magazines, carelessly stacked throughout the trailer, to collapse burying him alive.> PD
Yanked at this very moment! I was gonna send them an email and ask if they'd accept Paypal for the quarter million when the auction disappeared. Can you imagine the PayPal fees for that!?!?! But all the free airline miles I'd get......
I would like to thank everyone on the board for thier support. Imagine coming into work one morning and finding someone else put your F-car on ebay. I was super pissed at the start of this morning, I'm much better now thanks to fellow Ferrari chatters.

YEah that's me fortunemotors I thought to bid to try and chatch this guy,or hopefully produce a Stradale for that price. My apparent interest in Gymnastics is that my daughter is a very high level gymnast and her coach is Kristie Phillips from the 1988 Olympics. So I thought I would gather some memorabilia get her to sign it and then resell. Wade www.fortunemotors.com
Wade, just looking out for fellow fchaters. I didn't know if fortunemotors was one of us or just a shill bid.... GLAD your one of us... HELLO.
Try contacting the New York State Attorney General's office. Since they are setting the "escrow" up through a phoney phone number in NY, they might be interested in doing something. They have a much more active fraud bureau for consumer fraud than the FBI does.
Kristie Phillips???? Wade has ALWAYS pushed the envelope with his avatars....I thought he was in New Orleans area, previously.. Good profile recognition Doc! LOL!
Funny stuff - I figured out the items being washed straight away, but had to squint to figure out what the plumbing was.... Kinda like those "two faces or one vase" optical tests, I guess. Cheers Kevin
Man, sorry to see that you were being scammed(or at least your car being used in a scam)...do you know where the photos of your car came from? The web? Glad to see this guy got shut down! Hey Rob, one more reason that non-subscribed plebes should not be able to view photos!!! Cheers, Travis
I think I know how the guy hopes to pull off this scam. I'll bet he tries to encourage some kind of transaction outside of ebay and uses the auction as a way to lure suckers. The old "con man" or "confidence man" game at its finest. He's probably already got a few others going under different aliases. Glad we were able to bust this one up though.
kfhenry, that's a Kohler two hole fountain spigot, polished chrome finish over brass, IMO. The second item is commonly refered to as 'the man in the boat', ROTFLMAO!
Of course you also have to specify the integral spring return, side mounted handle as well. That's almost impossible to find, on the second item............
How bold these people are. Fraud is so rampant on the internet, and the internet has expanded the ways in which traditional (non-internet) fraud artists can work their evil art. Here is one I've been watching - www.craigsears.com (and a blog at http://stolenbarn.tblog.com/). Interesting stuff.
