Rob and Jennie's 1st Annual Celebrazione Well, there will always be something to celebrate, so Jennie and I want to start an annual tradition. This year I guess we're celebrating our new house, Jennie's 1st year as a Physician Assistant, and a new job for me. When: Saturday, October 16th (4pm front lawn car show/6pm food) Where: Rob & Jennie's house in Southlake, TX The food: Blue Mesa will cater the cocktail/platter style food. There will be plenty to fill everyone up as a meal. If anyone wants to bring desserts or other snacks, that would be great. The drinks: We will also have a Margarita machine and keg(s). If anyone wants something besides Margaritas or Beer, please BYOB. We will have soft drinks and tea available. The who: We're inviting FerrariChat.com users, FCA members, friends, family, and work mates. Kids aren't a problem, although they will likely get dirty and bitten back in the woods. I guess the adults will too. The car show: We'll have a pool in a few years, but right now we'll just have to entertain ourselves with food, talk, and drinks. There will be a fun front lawn car show with awards! They will be nice awards, but not for typical things. So start showing up at 4pm for the cars and drinks or 6pm for the food. The Ultimate Performance car show is earlier that day, so you can come straight over after attending that. Sunday some of us will be car pooling over for the IRL race that starts about noon. Sorry we don't have much furniture, but we have plenty of floor space if you want to sleep over. It also might be a good idea to bring your own lawn chairs. I will need an exact headcount and contact information so I can send directions. Please RSVP by filling out this form before October 6th. http://www.roblay.com/party.htm Thank you, rob & jennie
Count us in for 2. Do we need to bring the car for the show or do you already have all the participants?
Please fill out the form. No one has signed up yet, the word is just now getting out. You can select on the form if you want to do the show. All the car entries will be parked on the front lawn, who knows where all we'll be parking everyone else.
The race isn't THAT long. We've partied longer at bar, and with this being a Rob's house, well, I'll make sure I have my camera for this one! No telling what time the fire trucks will show up to put out Greg Scott's mischief.
Even if you watch the final IRL practice, you can still come over just about when things really get going. Greg and I are just going to the IRL race Sunday, none of the Saturday stuff. I'm in. Filled out the form and will bring a few fold out chairs. I haven't met up with many of the North Texans. This should be a blast.
Hey Rob- Will there be some coolers with ice if we bring some drinks or do we need to bring them in our own coolers?
I just realized...this is the day of the Carroll Shelby/Chip Foose car show. Shouldn't enterfere with I, or others making the party, but this certainly turns it into a full day!
Ok, gotcha. You had said Ultimate Performance, and I didn't click on that name, as the shop is called Unique Performance.
We could use a few people to bring deserts or additional snacks. Not everyone needs to bring something though. If you want something besides beer, margaritas, coke, or tea you need to bring it. Thank you.
Should we start another thread so people can sign up/avoid duplication for bringing additional stuff? Or do you want us to figure it out on this post? I'll bring an appetizer.
On this thread is fine. I don't think we'll need too much. I'll be ordering quite a bit from Blue Mesa.
