This one is bound to spark a lot of controversy (and magazine sales). In the October issue, Automobile Magazine has just come out with its admittedly highly subjective list of the 100 coolest cars ever. Noteworthy Ferraris on the list are: #82 - 288 GTO #71 - 360 CS #68 - 250 GTO #60 - 250 GT SWB Spyder California (I thought F-cars were always spelled "Spider" ?) #35 - 275 GTB #32 - 250 GT #16 - F40 I would have included a Dino, but all in all, I think that's a very respectable showing. I haven't counted, but probably more F-cars on the list than any other marque.
Mark, they only started spelling it with an "i" with the 348 Spider - All Ferrari Spyders before that were spelled with a "y"... i can't believe the 355, 250 LM and NNO weren't on that list... Actually, i'm not SO surprised the NNO wasn't on there... But what is their definition of "cool"...? If, by cool, they meant all around, great performance and looks, then the 355 DEFINITELY has a place on that list... If they meant cool like 'wow, that looks really cool', then the NNO should've been on there...
What got me was that one of those ugly Citroens was around 10th? Cool? To a French engineer, maybe...........
Hey, I just bought SN #93123, a red/tan/tan 92 Valeo Mondial t Cab. Please excuse my exuberence but, it may not be on "their" list of the coolist cars so, let's see, we have room for the ice chest, the beach chairs (put them behind us, dear - and I'll put the luggage in the "TRUNK" - - Off we go now! Is that cool, or what? The "Prancing Horse" has moved mankind for centuries. God bless those wonderful creatures - blood, sinue, carbon fibre and steel. They are all COOL! Just having "new car fun", Hank
they have to be retardedtocall a 308 tacky, its 1 of the most beautiful cars of all time, & no TR is messed up. Giving the 67 Vette #1 is highly debatable, it may be very cool but the quality sux
They rated a F40 way higher than a 250GTO come on. I love F40's but 250GTO's would rate much higher than #68 in my book.
Since we don't get that mag out here in the sticks, can someone print the whole list? Would love to see it, thanks, John
If the guiding principle for picking the group was that "Ugly is the new Cool," then I'm sure the Enzo would have been right at the top of the list bro.
Can some here give a complete list of Automobile Magazine's 100 Coolest Cars? I'm sure they made some shilling decisions to please their advertisers.

That 100 coolest car thing was bull$#it. I can't believe the Testarossa wasn't on there. That car defined the 1980s and is legendary. Hell, there's hardly a Ferrari in existence that shouldn't be on that list. No 328? The car sold for $100,000 over sticker in the 1980s! Hell, why not the 308? No F355? No 360 Spider? Anyone else as pissed as I?
The McLaren got beat by 2 citroens? Bloody hell. And what is the shelby cobra doing on there? Put the ac cobra on! How the hell did 3 citroens beat the 250 SWB What a load of crap
Cars that should have made at least the top 50 1967 427 Cobra 1972 365 GTB/4 Daytona Coupe / Spider 1970's Toyota landcruser FJ40 1968 Dodge Charger 440 1970 Datsun 240 Z-Series 1984 Audi Quattro Turbo Coupe 2003 Ferrari ENZO
a few that didn't make it that HAVE to be on there: Original (READ: REAL) mini E30 M3 i'll think of more later
Eso, Sorry went off on a rant, besides they werent pacific about which Cobra. I haven't got the magazine yet & I couldn't find the complete list posted anywhere on the net. Damn you David E. Davis.
For those of us w/o access to mag. sales, thanks for taking the time to print the list. Can't believe there is no 65 or 66 GTO or 66 or 67 fastback Mustang, seems like those cars defined a generation and began the muscle car craze. Also think it would be hard to omit TR and 355 from any list of specially cool cars.
