Poor man's P4 replica project

Jim has a little prior knowledge about what I have been snooping around

 

In my absolute ignorance why does this add fuel to the fire? the rear winglets are removable on the P4 and the tail lights are Altisimo, maybe I missed the point?

Car looks great. Why have you taken the air fom behind the wheels rather than the door vents? Not a critisism, I just wondered what the merits were.

No reason other than I didn't want a load of Donkey dick running ot the Airfilter! I want to find a better long term solution though!

thanks, had some gear seection problems today so some work to do!

 

that part of the car can get totally soaking when it rains. I think. Actually the whole of the rear under the body work gets damn soaking and thus I have found that the donkey dick going to the doors works quite well.

When are you taking it out?

Sorry Max, just a little somewhat inside joke for Napolis and Wayne if they were paying attention and they were. Ya see one of the Real honest to goodness P4's is close by me and I have had the pleasure of watching some of the work being done on it. Jim and Wayne were aware of this and I was just having fun.
BTW the CAR LOOKS FANTASTIC you should be proud.

 

I'll be a lot happier when my proper replica is finished, but the costs are extreme....

I dont know what 0003 is, but I assume James G's engine. What you need is dimensions, both engines will look similar.

I don't think you can call anyone who takes the time and energy to build his dream P4 an average Joe. Some people have more cash I suppose and manage to actually use real parts on their replicas.

Whats a poor american to do when all the P4's have been accounted for. I suppose build a damn good replica, eh Horsefly.

I've been reading this board rather intensly and enjoying it very much since I
discovered it last week. ,for the last eight months I've been putting
together a 330 p4 series addition to the N2003 racing simulator
..now here's the rub ,we've been trying to put together an as accurate physics package as possible
but just can't find enough info..so where better to ask ? ;-)

What we need is as much as you can give us really, we have dry weight, horsepower etc but what we're lacking is things like...
:drag coeficants
:torque/power band
:downforce
:fuel load
and anything else you can muster

What is the N2003 simulator and where can I get one?

Thank you for the kind words and warm welcome

N2003 is a simulator created by Dave Keamer & Co(of GPL fame) for company
called Papyrus, basically it has the best physics and over all "real feel" available to the general public today..so good that professional racers have been known to use it for track familarisation etc.
So what you need to look for is Papyrus' Nascar 2003,this can be found on ebay ,Amazon etc for about $15.

My "addon" (which is free btw)was released last night(those screenshots are ingame footage )..so far it's managed to crash the server with 5 gigabytes
of downloads in less than eight hours !!!
