Collected a set of 360 sports seats that I'll be fitting into my 355. They are not a direct replacement, I'll have to make up some adaptors but I like the look!

Just the pas' side in place so far!

    They're the business Bernard

Those side blosters look like large though. Do you have any problems with your elbow hitting them when selecting 2nd, 4th or 6th gears?

I think the pic's make them look larger than they actually are, they are not that different to the std 355 sports seats in my previous car. Gear change is fine for me, but it could be a problem for a taller (6 foot) person?

Also the seats are medium which means they are quite narrow, so again for me a nice fit!

Joe Macari got these for me, he's very good at sourcing the harder to find parts!

    Very nice Bernard

All you need now is the harness bar from QV and harnesses and your ready for Brands Hatch on the 5th October.

Next mod's are F40/50 front brakes and a 360 steering wheel, then I'll be happy!

Maybe see you all at Brands if I can escape from work!

Completed the installation of the 360 seats today. As ever nothing with a Ferrari is totally straightforward! So if anyone else wants to repeat the procedure I thought I’d offer a little advice.

The mtg’s for the 360 are on a wider pitch than the 355 seats. Its necessary to move the seat rails 22.50mm per side reducing the width to suit the 355 floorpan. I machined up some 7075 aluminium brackets to achieve this, they’re the “dog bones” pictured below.

The rails on the 360 are also a little different to the 355, but its an easy job to take the 355 rails off the old seats, discard the 360 ones, and use the originals on the new seats.

The only other problem is the knob that adjusts the recline on the new seats is in a different position (lower) and hits the hand brake mechanism. To remove this it’s necessary to practically strip the seat allowing access to the mtg’s. With this removed the seat now fits perfectly.

I’ll make up a new part that is thinner than the original so there is still clearance between the hand brake and the seat.

That’s all there is to it! I think that they improve the look, but after all that I’m a little biased.

Some quality work you've done there Bernard. Which reminds me; how's the Abarth coming along?

Changing the subject, the Abarth is running! Started for the first time last week!

Defo' thinking about going 4 point! The 3 points do look a "little naked"!

    Nice job Bernard.

Let me know how you get on with the 360 steering wheel as this is something I've thought about on and off for a while.

I believe the airbag mech. needs disabling to do it, but that would be a sacrifice I'd be willing to make if it could be reversed out later.
