our freind "Likeyoudontknow" has the infamous 348TS back on eBay. After telling me its a $70,000 car and I was an ****** for telling him its a Mid $30s to at best $40K car he has put it back on eBay for $ 29,900 with now $ 38K.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2491085539

Best part is I ran a carfax and it is a salvage title!
Further he forgets this time around to mention this car has been a race car and has sustained heavy damage as such.

I tried to ask him in a round about way to see how he would reply. here it is: my question is at the bottom and his reply is at the top.

SPEEDLINES ARE OAM, JUST REFINISHED (AS OLDER FERRARI'S TEND TO FLAKE AND
FADE OVER TIME. WHEEL PAINT LOOKS GREAT AS CLOSE TO NEW AS YOU CAN GET.
OBVIOUSLY GROUND EFFECTS HAVE BEEN REPAINTED. I PERSONALLY HAVE NEVER
REPAITED, BUT I AM NOT SURE WHY THAT IS EVEN A CONCERN BECAUSE IF IT WAS
REPAINTED THEN IT WOULD BE NEWER ANYWAY, CORRECT?

Yes. You file a freud report and mark the box for misrepresented. I don't know how you do it before the auction closes, I guess you just need to send an email. But when they see private auction, wire transfer only that should do it, attaching the carfax would be gravy.

I will provide whatever details you like after you make a tentative offer, but I have two other offers now off ebay and I am trying to expedite the process as my wife and I are closing on a home and need the cash ASAP.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I apologize that this is something of mail merge e-mail, but I am not a dealer and I do not have the time to answer all the e-mails unless it is also worth your time and you can provide better funds than $38,100 by the end of this business week.

Too bad that the car he describes is not available from him at the price that he is now quoting. Apparently the "two other people" who were biding on it didn't purchase it. Wonder if it's because he's lying about it?
