Andy, Hope they reduced the tickets for ya. If so, I bet the 8x10 glossy's with circles and arrows worked in your favor (Long live Arlo Guthrie). David
Well to make a long story short, after some discussion, what started out as a possible 4 points and $275 was dropped to two points and $155 (failure to signal.) I took the deal. I can always sit through one of those hokey "safety classes" and have the two points dropped. I consider the outcome to be a good one considering the alternatives. Thanks Emil, Dave and Ed for the support. Andy PS: the prosecutor confirmed that from a DMV standpoint, the points will be charged starting from the day of the offense. The insurance company starts the clock from the date of conviction. I always thought the part about the DMV starting from the date of offense was an urban myth, but its not so apparently.
beautiful day out today, driving around the city, got a parking ticket in soho while shopping, then get a speeding ticket driving back from the edgewater driving range... on the wsh, caught speeding 70 in a 50. officer says, i heard you revving from a mile away, do you know why you are going so fast and who are you racing, i say no one, its just my exhuast setup, it just sounds fast! hAtE oN EC plAYa hATeRs!
Playa Haters don't get your exhaust. That sucks. Great to hear you're back and driving again, though. We need to hook up sometime and take the silvers somewhere fun!
WSH is the best New York City has. Staying off it would be like putting a front plate on just because they say you should. Or keeping your car in the garage just because they say so. Or not getting up in the morning... Well, you get the picture.
werd... smooth drive all the way up and down, and around the city. the water on the right side, the cars youre passing on the right... nothing beats it.
dont know. i look in the rear view and he was right there. yo but my exhaust is sounding real nice.. it is breaking in nicely, getting a lot of popping, scaring crazy pigeons.
yo clyde, got it back friday late night. rocco and frank stayed real late to make sure the car is good.
I saw how sad you were to leave it behind the night we picked up Hubert's. Glad you got it back and I hope they locked everything down perfect. If not before, see you Sat at Sam's or TimeSquare Shoot-out (or Friday as I'm sure *something* will develop soon )
Takes "road rage" to a whole new level. -- Driver Sees Red and Torches His Car Thu Oct 21, 2004 11:47 AM ET TEHRAN (Reuters) - An incensed Iranian motorist doused his car in petrol and set it ablaze with a match after picking up a parking ticket, media reported Wednesday. The ISNA student news agency posted photographs of the charred shell of the car on its Web site and quoted witnesses describing the driver's frantic but fruitless pleas to the parking attendant not to issue a ticket. "Extremely angry, he took a jerrycan of petrol out of the boot and set fire to his car," ISNA quoted a witness in poor south Tehran as saying. Fines have increased heavily since March in an attempt to bring Iran's reckless drivers into line. Road rage is common on the gridlocked streets of Tehran. --
Got a "rolling through the stop sign" ticket in Sag Harbor last night. Misery loves company. Best, Rob www.bridgemc.com
Thanks to Emil and Noah's tip regarding their ticket lawyer, Frank DeSousa, my speeding ticket in southampton town was dismissed today... no fines, no points....
