Where's the Woodbridge trials data? Does sound a bit unbelievable!

550 supposed to do 199
355 supposed to do 173
360 supposed to do 180

do ferrari do their top speed tests downhill with the wind behind them???

 

355 suppposed to do 183 I think.

I've done 160 with ease before - but I guess this might only be 145 when measured properly.

 

My car managed 152 and Ferrari claim 161.

The reason all cars fell short of the claimed top speed is that we ran out of track. The timer was 1.6 miles down the runway, and we only had 0.5 miles to brake. My car was still picking up speed, but I think I would have needed another half mile to reach the max. That is probably true for the other cars too. Ferrari probably do their speed testing on an oval circuit so they can wind them up for as long as they like.

I did 173,179mph in my f348 with nitrous and 160mph without

 

179 mph was not on the chart..

Before anything is said by the FOC for posting the results.

My father has posted these results. He is a Ferrari fan and has my past word because he is disable in a wheelchair from the chest down from a freak car accident on the German Autobahn. He is unable to get out much and uses the the computer most of the time. Having my paswords to Ferrari sites keep him interested in Ferrari stuff.

I will speak to him about posting member only FOC pages.... Sorry.

i agree road space is a factor ( as are conditions & windspeed etc) but 360 vs CS should surely result in CS winning due to better acceleration times and F1 box has race mode? or is it that CS's new and engines "tight" or the better acceleration is at a cost of top speed?
looking at 550 impressive result 575 with F1 should be close to f40?
wish i could of been there!

 

If the 360CS has a taller top gear than a 360, then that could explain why it didn't get so close to it's top speed in the distance available?

Edited to say: Especially if the CS makes it's extra Bhp higher up the rev range.

 

Think it depends whos behind the wheel ( said Schmacher to Barrecello) < wrong spelling i know.............

This may assist you with your decision on the 360 as it would appear that the 360 Modena is faster than the 360 CS. Which I understand has an automatic gearbox as a standard fitment.

Really depends on if the MONKEY driving has the balls to go the full distance too!!

 

Uhm, so many factors come into play here so its hard to comment - however, at the end of the run, the CS could have made a tight right turn & carried on going whereas the 360m would probably still be spinning now!!

Its all about downforce!!!

Therefore i guess that i would expect similar top-ends BUT the CS is producing siginificantly more downforce than the modena - or am i talking bollocks!
