If you don't visit certain categories, like some of the regional areas, then use the collapse button to the right. For example, if you only look at the Vintage section, then you can collapse everything but the Vintage section and your screen won't be very tall. Here's the button...

I use the "dot folder" as attached below more than anything else. This lets me scan right to the threads I've actually posted to. Another good method to remind you what you've participated in lately is going to Search - Advanced Search and entering your username and then the time period you want to look back below. This will bring up all the threads you've posted to in that time period and list them in once place no matter what forum the thread was in.

Another good habit for good responses is to use the "reply" button to create the QUOTE tags. Remove everything but what you are responding to. Get handy with "Ctrl - C" - Copy, "Ctrl - X" - Cut, and "Ctrl - V" - Paste so you can quickly create several quotes within your one post and reply to each one of them. You can also copy from the Topic Review below the username and text from multiple posts so all your responses are in one post. You don't want me changing your title to Post Whore! :D Remember when editing the closing QUOTE tag that's easy to remove the "[/" which is necessary for the QUOTE to work.

At the bottom for posting a new thread or post, you can click on the "vB Code" link to bring up all the fancy formatting options. This is good to add some "color" to your posts.

Did you know you can create folders within your private messages area? I simply just have a Save folder and then delete everything else. Keeps it simple as I was accidentally deleting PM's I needed from my inbox. Remember to delete your "sent" messages as they count against your message limit too.

    user controls - settings

This is the User Control Panel. I have this bookmarked. It tracks private messages, threads I've responded to, threads that I've just subscribed to and most of all, forums that I pay attention to. If you are only interested in a few forums, like Texas and Technical information, you can subscribe to those two forums and watch those two without getting overloaded with everything else.

Using Mozilla (www.mozilla.org) can be easier and faster than using IE. With the tool bar, I can set bookmarks for sites like FerrariChat and even include more by just naming it shorthand as "FC". Quick and easy links to get to items instead of going through site links.

I use this as my bookmark link instead of www.ferrarichat.com:
    http://ferrarichat.com/forum/usercp.php?
It lists all the threads I posted to and all my subscribed forums, I subscribed to all the formums I ever visit, which excludes most of the regional sections, off topic, etc.
