I have been buying/collecting Ferrari factory sales brochures and some press kits for some years now. My question to you guys: what exactly is the deal with the so called "media books" ? Are they seen as the modern equivalent of the old press kits? For example, the 360 CS and 612 media books are 100% identical to the sales brochures, except that they have a CD-rom inside as an extra.

Is there anyone who knows if these media books are printed in the same quantities as the sales brochures? What would be more interesting from a collectors point of view (and for the value in the future) - stick with the sales brochures from the latest cars or keep the media books instead?

They are the modern day equiv of the old Press Kits - I would always go with the "media books" - they are usually only produced once, whereas the brochures can be reprinted a number of times. Also the presence of the CD makes them more attractive.
I have a Yahoo Group - http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/FerrariCollectibles/ - that is especially for collectors of Ferrari memorabilia, models and books etc. Apply to join, mention FChat and I will join you to the group. There are some knowledgable and serious collectors on there who are willing to answer any questions (or at least guess at the answer :) )
